My baby is pregnant I'm not a breeder but have inherited a 2 lb female yorkie from my daughter. I believe she is pregnant, she was around another male yorkie (4 lbs) and I'm afraid she's to small. She is my heart as she has been in our family for the last two years. Any suggestions as to what I should do? I'm at a complete loss. Thanks! |
Have you taken her to the vet? I think I would and talk to him/her about the risk,if in fact she is pregnate.Good luck! |
I would take her to the vet. Being so small, I would be terrified to let her have pups. Maybe time to spay. |
No, I hadn't taken her to the vet, but will first thing in the morning. I am terrified as not only is she so small, I'm completely ignorant! Thanks again! |
It sounds like it could be very dangerous as the male is a whole 2lbs larger than her and the fact that she is only 2lbs to begin with. Please keep us updated on your baby girl. |
I will have to agree, get her to a vet asap and see what he/she thiks. Good luck and we will be watching for your next pot!! |
I would have the vet go ahead and spay her whether or not she is pregnant. She is too small to risk giving birth to those babies. |
you can spay before the puppies are puppies |
I agree, save your babies life by having her spayed. |
holly moly...2lbs???? omg i hope everything goes well |

She is waaaay too small to have puppies. (As you already know.) I would also suggest taking her to the vet and having her spayed ASAP. This kills two birds with one stone--you don't have to worry about the danger of her having pups, and you don't have to worry about this happening again. |
I'd have her spayed ASAP! She's too tiny to be having puppies!! |
