we had 3 puppies My girl had 3 puppies tonight... she started nesting in my bed at 6am, she had her first puppy on my husbands lap (she has a nest box, and nested in it, but decided to have most of her labor on our laps) the first pup came at 8 something PM (i have it wriiten down) My mentor came for the second pup which was good since she needed reviving.. she is the biggest (over 6oz) now she is doing amazing. I do have a question though, two of the pups have white on their chest, and the girl has some on her bottom side of her neck. the third has none, will the white stay? So far all is going well... 2 boys and 1 girl. I am excited and wanted to share the news. edited to say she was a week early which is good since the pups are good size. |
Congrats on the new babies! Glad everyone is healthy!! |
Congratulations! I'm glad to hear you were able to have your mentor over while your bitch was in labor. White on a pup is common (or so I've heard on this board) and will go away. |
Congrats! There is nothing more precious than new babies...As the poster above said it was stated last week that white is common and will go away and that it is a sign of good hair to come or something like that....Don't quote me on that I just remember someone saying that last week. Have fun and keep us posted on how the new babies are doing. It is so exciting watching them grow! |
Thank you for the replies. I am amazed at how good my baby did, she is doing well. I hope that it is true about the white spots, I did breed her with a male with a better coat (my girls is more cottony) Sorry for the spelling/typing errors, I am on hubby's laptop next to mama and the babies, camping out, and I am not used to this keyboard. here are the stats... baby 1 born 8:48pm 5 5/8 oz baby 2 born 9:42pm 6 3/8 oz baby 3 born 10:03pm 6oz I have pictures but don't have them downloaded and have no clue what so ever on how to post them. thanks again, |
Congratulations!!! How exciting!! I hope you will share pics with us!! Glad everyone is doing well!! :congrats: Joy |

Congrats!! That is soo exciting. Can't wait to see pictures. |
Congratulations!! So glad to hear that everyone is doing well. The pups seem to be a nice weight, and my boys had white on their chest when they were born and it is all gone now. Fun days are ahead!... |
congrats on your new babies, glad all went well... the white is normal and will blend into the tan/gold over time looking forward to seeing pics |
Last night went well, and today is going good, but my mom has a temp- it was 102.9 and now it is 102.. the vet said it was fine, but I still worry... the pups have their tail docking, and dew claws on mon. My mom is still panting a lot is that normal? I do have it warm in here 78-82, (our ac broke) which is fine since we need to keep the house warm, well in other rooms we have it cooled with a fan. You know, this all has been bittersweet, on weds our dog died in our arms (put to sleep), and on friday we had new life happen in our arms.... I miss my other dog so much though, the tears just seem to keep running. I can't put away her feeder, her bed nothing, and her rotty sister, is so very depressed right now, they played together all day, slept next to eachother, and ate together, my rotty that is left just looks at her food and then the other dogs dishes and waits for the dog that is gone to start eating. sorry for the ramble... I got a sympathy card from the vet today, (the only person who asked how we are doing) he wrote a long note, and it has brought the feelings of grief in place of the feelings of "birth" and new babies. how do I post pics? |
