Update on Umas' DNA Got a call from the breeder the other day. She got the hard copy of Umas' DNA test. Uma had 10 markers under PEZ and 3 UCB. Breeder was comparing to her sires' DNA. Sire has 6 under PEZ, and 3 UCB. She is not sure how to read it, but indicated it does not look good for my Uma. Doesn't have DNA for Dame. Dame was stolen? Any way Uma matches sire exactly at PEZ 01, Matches at 05, 06, and again at 08. Under UCB Matches at 2010, 20 54, and 2079..all 3. The peternity match is not on yet, just wanted to know if YOU think this looks good for Uma? |
what was the dna being ck'd for?? |

 Of the two breeders, I am in contact with the one who was on the papers I recieved with Uma. I have learned that the other breeder involved had her AKC rights pulled Possibly. The breeder I am in contact with sold a male and a female to this person, don"t know what was purchased from other breeder. Umas' breeder? learned that the male from her died from sugar shock. The owners of the male are not communicating. We are hoping this person mixed up the male and female papers. The papers were not signed when I recieved them and had to be sent back for a signature. Umas' breeder? said she was never contacted to sign any papers...therefor this oerson had to sign her name. Sometimes this fiasco just makes me sick to my stomach, other times I do not think about it. I just want an answer so I know how to proceed. Uma is supposed to have champ. bloodlines and be AKC registerable. If not I want recompense. |
wow...i hope someone here can help you out. what a mess! |

I am pretty confused. Let me see if I am understanding here. You bought a dog from what you thought at the time was the dogs breeder. After you purchased the dog, you realized you bought it from a broker that bought it from the breeder and resold it to you. The broker purchased 2 sets of dogs and mixed their papers up so your papers dont match the DNA of the dog you have now. You have tried to get ahold of the broker and cant contact her and the origional breeders are leaving it up to you to try to fix? Is that right so far or did I get off track somewhere? |

Forgot to add....we aren't sure if Uma matches the Dna of thepapers I recieved. The breeder listed on the papers I recieved says Uma looks like her line...but so does another pup involved. |
But the sire is no longer around to DNA him to make sure so you and the breeder can figure it out? THe breeder had no idea she was selling her pup to a broker and doesnt know how to get ahold of her either? Who is the broker and maybe someone here can help you find her. I remember reading another thread with this exact problem it sounds. |

Also want to add ...the only ones from YT involved...to the best of my knowledge , is Uma and myself. |
Bumping this thread for you. I don't have a clue about the DNA. |
Yea I am not much help with the DNA thing either. I was wondering if maybe the breeder had another stud that could have possibly been the father instead. There are some breeders here that know alot about DNA that I am sure will help though. |
