How far over due do you let a dog go? I have never experianced over due....just early. So is she doing good still? Temp drop?

That was incredible to see!!! Looks like the pups are active and healthy right now!! I'd also love to see a birth video, so in your spare time during the whelping can you do that for us?!

Hoping the time comes soon and all goes well for mom and babies....

Never more than a week. A friend's mother let her dog go over a week. When she finally did whelp her litter, all the pups were dead and decomposing. Not very pretty at all!

Well my vet says to wait a week since they are all still doing very well. If she doesn't have them by then we will have to do a c-section.

OMG deb The movies were Great! I bet you are going Crazy. I know I would be. I am hoping and Praying that she don't have to have a C- section.

She is 2 days overdue and those puppies and mom are teasing me,lol. So far she has yet to decide to bless us with her puppies presence into this world. I listened to their heartbeats today and they are going strong in there. I'm going nuts waiting, so im taking you all with me,lol sorry but I can't do it alone....:D

I bet it is driving you nuts. I have never had one over due .Will your vet let her go to 70 days?
Has her temp been hanging on the same?

it is very dangerous about the placenta separating when they are overdue , Wonder if that is what happened in your friend's case. but Deb has a vet that is on top of it.

Debbie!!!! Maybe if you make Peanut think your losing interest in her whole pregnancy thing, she'll decide to go. You know, that whole reverse psychology thing. Probably not. We're ready when she's ready!!!! We've got our little liver treat cigars to hand out.

Girl I've tried everything,lol. I actually started her on a daily walking schedule to help her start labor and let me tell you, not only does she run when you call her or waddle as I call it, but she wags her whole backend. I thought for sure having her walk more would allow her to have them, but of course not cause I'm still here going NUTS!!!

Today is day 67...Nobella (Vainchick) came to visit and she got to see the babies move. We are still waiting over here too thx for keeping me company,lol. Hold on too that cigar dont light it yet.

Good grief....This is out of control....What is her temp??? I feel like Im on call or something...ya know the nurse that keeps coming around checking....
WHats the vet say? how long does he plan to let her go? Their pregnancy is supposed to go 60 to 67 days averaging 63 days.....so what is she waiting on exactly....Tell her pigs are flying over here so if thats what shes waiting on....wait no more!

Wow you sound like your as anxious as I am,lol...He (my vet) says that since she was bred everyother day, that its very possible that although I count it as day 67 it may very well be only day 61 in actuality. Its possible the last mating was the day the eggs were fertilized. Mom and puppies are doing well and trust me she is monitored constantly. I check her temp 4 times a day and listen to the puppies heartbeats for any signs of rhythm changes. I an a certified cardiovascular technician and know alot about their hearts. My business partner also works in the medical field nursing so relax hun, we got it covered I promise.

They will come soon, and if there are any signs of stress we will do an imediate c-section. Nobella (vainchick) was here today for a visit and can tell you the mom is very active and happy. The puppies respond to voices and aren't stressed either. I'm as anxious as the next person if not more, but I don't want you to go as NUTS as I am,lol.

Gooooooolly...just read through this entire frenzy...really thinking by the time that I got to the last post...I'd be seeing puppy pictures. But no...no puppies!!! Just Marlboro's...and cigars...You guys are crazy!!!
I love Peanut's belly floppin'...they look like a rowdy bunch, 3 maybe 4, oh boy!!! Good puppy birthing luck!!!
