Yorks Morks and Malts IL Hi I'm new to YT and I have been researching buying a yorkie for a year now. I want a female of pet quality not to breed or show. I found this website: http://yorksmorksandmalts.com/ and I like what I see. The only thing that is kind of suspect is that they don't want people at their home. (They are located in Aledo, IL) so I don't know if that is a bad thing. Everything else seems okay..but since I'm new to this expericne I was hoping if anyone could tell me something that I am missing (like in their purchase agreement) The woman who runs it is Valerie Quick and if you got a yorkie (or other puppy) from her I would love to know how it turned out. What I really like about them is their prices. I really can't afford to buy a 1,000$ + dog and I am willing to pay as much as 800$. Also if anyone knows of a good breeder in the MI area (or surrounding) with reasonably prices HEALTHY dogs, I would love to know your experincne and their information. Thanks!!! :D |
Hi - I looked at their website and they do have some cute pups at reasonable prices. As far as them not wanting you to come to their home, I thought it said you were welcome to come to their home if you make prior arrangements but would not be permitted to go inside their kennel although you could view it on video. I think they are just being responsible in this respect as people can bring things in to young puppies on their shoes or clothing so it sounds like they are just protecting their dogs. :aimeeyork :animal-pa |
they might not allow people in their kennel because they are running a puppy mill. It's hard to know. |
I'd see if I could find info on the breeder....maybe some reviews from people who have purchased from her. |
Ohmigosh! I tottally missed that!!! Thank you so much for catching that..phew well then everything seems to be pretty good! |
I've never heard of them before. They seem to have a lot of dogs, especially breeding female Yorkies. A lot of their females have floppy ears and they look a bit unkept and messy. I'm not sure if they're a puppy mill or not but I wouldn't feel too comfortable buying from them because they really have a lot of breeding dogs, which suggests that they churn out a lot of puppies on a regular basis. Sorry that I'm not much help. I wish you the best of luck. |

hmmmm well you know what..I've had this unsure feeling from the get go...so maybe I should try and focus on a different avenue for now. I mean we all have to go with our gut feelings at times. I just don't want to make a bad decision. |
Although they do have reasonble prices, they also advertise...teacups, and we all no there is no such thing. |
