1. She has standard listed as 5-10 lbs. Standard is usually 5-7 lbs. At least that's what I've always read. 2. She has small listed as under 5lbs. Most reputable breeders usually try to breed to standard 5-7lbs. and don't look to breed tinys (under 5lbs.) on purpose. Not saying she is but she is advertising 5 and under pups.
| Well, AKC standard is 4 - 7. But in this case, she is just separating by size and manages to stay away from that teacup word. I don't think she was talking AKC, just general sizes. And every knows that smaller yorkies do happen and generally cost more. Quote:
Also, you can guestamate the size a pup will be as an adult but you can't guarantee it.
| From her website: We cannot guarantee the size of any puppy as adult, nor can any honest breeder, but an educated guess can be made as to the size and color, based on the parents. Quote:
3 rd. and last it kind of bothers me that she advertises that she usually has puppies available. I don't see many reputable breeders with pups always available.
| She doesn't actually have any available ATT. I believe she said she would have some soon (3-4 months). But she does have, I think, 3 bitches, so probably has a litter coming or going most of the time. I think the term "available" translates to waiting lists and planning. |
