i am looking to learn Hi everyone i am new to this site and dont actually have a yorkie yet i am in the process of buying a little female yorkie and i would like to go into breeding but i am not knowledgeable enough as of yet i am hoping that all of you long time owners and breeders can give me all kinds of tips and info that i should know about the care of a yorkie for example i have heard people mention getting baby teeth pooled certain foods they should eat etc. it can get a bit confusing so anyone at all if you could help me before i buy this little darling it would be greatly appreciated. You are new here , so I will tell you just for the future , if you go to the top of the page in dark blue you will find a word " search" type in anything you want to know about and lots of posts will come up. Hi and Welcome to YT !!!! First step is RESEARCH-RESEARCH-RESEARCH :D Do this before buying your female. Also there are LOTS of DVD's and books on breeding and whelping. Lots of very helpful websites as well. Also if you have a mentor it is VERY beneficial. Maybe see a couple litters whelped, etc. There is LOTS LOTS LOTS to learn. Take your time, do your research, and good luck to you!!!! And again, WELCOME !!!! You'll love it here!!!! |
Hi and welcome glad to have you aboard. I totally agree with everyone.. research go to your bookstore and get all the information you can on yorkies. Dvds are great also books on tape. ( I listen to them when I go for walks ) I have begun breeding my yorkies and I can tell you you can never learn too much !!!! Great thing about yorkies no 2 are alike |
