Tonight might be the night Ollie just vomited, and there is some discharge, and she is acting very uncomfortable and panting. I took her temp and it is about the same as it has been 99.1 but all other signs are there. Should I continue to take her temperature? or does it go back up once they go into labor? |
Ohhhh it sounds like she's about ready!!! I have found with mine that the temp would drop and stay down for 8+ hours and before I could take the temp again, she was in labor: Well wishes for a easy and safe whelp! Keep us posted when you can !!! |
Just wanted to send good wishes for a smooth delivery!!! |
Yayyyyyyyyy! here we go. Sounds like you will be burning the midnight oil tonight. i take temps every four hoursd that last couple of days and then of course stop when the labor starts. I have also found that when mine get sick, it is usually only one or two hours until labor starts. is she digging in her bed? |
OH fun puppy watch Jeanie I am so excited for you. call me if you need me. I made sure to save your number so if you don't post I'm gonna hound you :) LOL JK. Good luck. |

But remember if it has stayed down for 12 hours....you're right she's gonna do it. |
Good luck with everything. Tammy |
I've spoken with the vet to give him a heads up. He told me that once she starts pushing, to not let her go over 4 hours without procucing a puppy, and not over two for the second one. Does that seem OK? |
Yay Jeanie!!! I'm so excited for you! A good rule of thumb is 1 puppy per hour. |
That sounds about right. gosh I am right there with you in heart Jeanie. |
Good Luck! Sounds like it is getting close..... :) |
The coffee pot is on. Let us know when to start pushing............ |
