Still NO puppies
 
Ollie was due yesterday. But still no signs that she is getting close. she is still eating still hanging out with the other kids. No nesting or anything.

I think she is just going to stay pregnant forever.

I've started sleeping in the room with her at night, so I can hear if she starts to get restless.. she sleeps fine, I'm the one who is restless.

The spines and heads were showing clearly on the x ray last Tuesday, so she has to be close, doesn't she.

I'm getting very impatient. And I'm afraid they will get too big if they don't come soon.

I'll keep you posted.

I'm sure you are taking her temp. it will happen soon. Mine didn't show any signs at all until the day they went into labor except for the drop in temp. Sometimes they go over for two or three days. if she doesn't have them a couple of days after her due date i would take her back to the vet for another x-ray. if they go over too long, the placenta could start to separate. At least that's what I have heard.

OK thanks for the warning. I'm just guessing that she did not take on the first breeding. I know they're in there and they gotta come out sometime.

good luck with the whelping, hopefully it will be withing a day or two.

is this a standard yorkie litter or a parti litter?

Oh, "puppy watch" can be so much fun. Get a good book. Just when you get to the good part.....you'll probably have to put it down and give your attention to the puppies!!!

My Bitsy gave birth this past Wednesday... she was due last Sunday... so they DO go over their DUE date.... I hope you don't have much longer to wait!!! Hope all goes well. :)

Nope
No change in anything
She sleeps a lot but doesn't act uncomfortable at all and is still eating.

I've quit taking her temp, I've decided that a watched dog never whelps. And it's not like I need early notice so I can take the time off work.

I know how you feel . Shania is doing the same thing . All she want to do is turn on her back and show her belly .
