Hello again My vetrinarian checked Shasta out and she says that she sees no reason why I can not breed her atleast one more time before she is never breed again , I have never breed her it has been more then three years scence she has been bred a real good friend of mine gave shasta to me becasue they where moving and had to get rid of three of there yorkies and she is the one that i picked . I know that they bred her and that the pups where perfect nothing wrong when they where born. I would try it but i dont want to put shasta in danger , and I do want to become a breeder for this specific breed not for the money , for the experience , i love the breed and would love to see it prosper , My vetrinarian said that It would be good for me to try it atleast once before I spend a lot of money and not like it . So what do you all think I should do .?

I think if you have a good healthy female that is still of breeding age, then why not. If you liked doing it, then you can keep one of her puppiesfor breeding.

Shasta is 7 years old and is in realy good health my vet said that there is no health issues and that eveything about her is normal and of the standard so I figured that I would ask advice and actualy i want to start doing it and my vet stated that scence i have had shasta for three years and she is really good tempered with me she sees no reason why I shouldnt breed her and Thank you for your advice

Seems like you have recieved a variety of answers as to if breeding your female was a good idea, but it seems like you already had your mind made up.

You should make sure you have done all of your research BEFORE breeding her as it is in her best interest. Don't wait until she is expecting to start trying to learn.

I dont have my mind made up , I went to my vet to find out her opinion If my mind was made up I wouldnt be asking questions I would just do it I have been reading the akc standard all day on here , but yes I understand what you are saying , I think that we are going to try to breed her but I am not going to wait till the last minute to learn more about it , I will be learning the whole time and then some I will do my home work shasta weighs almost 7 pounds so she is big compared to some and a good size to breed is what I hear . My vetrinarian also owns 4 yorkies that is why I do go to her for a lot of answers

Just remember that at 7 years old your girl is 44 in people years. I'm 44 as well and would rather have someone shoot me than have a baby right now. Just a thought!

yeah i realize that , we are not going to breed her . We are buying two other yorkies to breed them . :)
