Okay serious help please! My dog had her litter this morning... well at like 1:30am and today we found a pup that is too weak to eat! what can we do?! |
bottle feed it mix canned goats milk and water equal parts |
do you have nutri dorps or nutrical that you can give it while you run to the store if not then give it some karo syrup |
or get it to the vet so the vet can show you how to tube feed it. |

Tube feeding will have to be done around the clock. |

I hope some one is around in a few days when I go through this. |
The other thing to think about is that the puppy is being pushed off by the others, you may have to remove them for a short bit to allow it to nurse free of any distractions, then put the others on. If the puppy is allowed to chill, you need to warm it before feeding. Go slow in warming, warming to fast will cause subcutaneous hemorrhage Do not let temp drop. You should be taking their temps daily, making sure the room is at 85 degrees and dropping daily, but slowly. |
We lost him, he was the runt of the litter and we saw that his little stubb of the umbilical cord was all the way off and he was bleeding, we tried all we could, the vet could not see him because he was giving a cat a checkup. I am sorry to say that we lost him:wavecry: |
So sorry for your loss! was he bleeding alot?it probably doesnt take much blood loss to end in tragedy with these little babies.:( |
he was dehydrated, he was just too weak to get any milk from mama and we tried shooting milk in with a syringe, his tongue was stuck to the roof of his mouth..... so sad we lost him |
That is so sad I\'m so sorry that you lost him. |
I am very sorry for this loss! Tammy |
