Please help! finding info on a breeder! Was wondering if I can have your input. Yesterday my 16 year old came home with a friend I never met. They had a school project that they needed to work on. I was getting ready to take my younger daughter to her softball practice and in a hurry, so I asked my daughter if she could help me put up my little ones (I don't allow my babies running free when IM not home to supervised [I have a 20 month old son). anyway to get to the point. my daughters friend said can i help i just love puppies. i said sure as she was helping she commented how cute the little ones are she stated that she wished she knew i was a breeder she would of told her Mom before they got their pup (about 2 months ago) she ask what kind of dogs threy were and i told her they were yorkies. she looked stunned and said that's what we have but he don't look anything like your dogs. so i asked her if she was sure it was a yorkie? her answer was yes. Later when I got back from our practice I got a call from her Mom asking me about my dogs. She stated that she was looking for a pure bred little yorkie and came across a website of a yorkie breeder located about 40 minutes from her the name of the place was (country acre pups, I think) in Fairbury,Illinois. (I have to wait till later to ask her again if that's the exact name she said) I cant find anything on the breeder. They contacted them and set out to buy their little boy. It was a gift for their daughter. They were told that the pup was 5 months old and pure Yorkie with papers. They didn't question the breeder to much since she admitted to me that they really didn't know what to look for. they got the pup home and set out for a vet visit only to be told by her vet that her pup weighed in at a whopping 14.5 pounds and is more like almost a year old and looks like a mix between a yorkie and a schnauzer mix. (worth only about 50.00) Her vet called the breeders vet to confirm his shots, etc., the breeders vet defended the breeders. i said oh my God! well anyway she asked if i could help her out and find out anything i can on the breeders She wants to keep the dog. The family is in love with him and would never think of giving him up. I asked her why didn't she call the breeder and confront her she said she was afraid the breeder would request the dog back. And she cant see living without him but at the same time she feels she was betrayed. She wants to report her which I think she should! I try to stay out of everyone else business and I believe in hearing both sides of the story. She saved all the e-mail between her and the breeder and will be sending them with her daughter. she gave me a PIC of the dog on the day they got it. She wants me to be on her side if she goes to court. I do remember a website of a yorkie breeder in Fairbury,Illinois. I checked it out before but cant remember the name. I was wondering if anyone knew this breeder or ever seen their web site? Anything would help meanwhile should I stick my noise in this business and stop people like this? Or stay out of it, but then I feel like IM apart of this kind of thing going on cause I just sat back? :( :( :( :( :( :( Please help me make a decision before this lady gets off of work and calls me. |
if I were you, I would stay out of it. All she has to do is go to the AKC website and pull the picture of the yorkie off it or any other place to take to court with her. As far as the weight, that's anybody's guess. hey, she should have bought one of my little males!!!!!;) |
I want to know how she decided a yorkie was for her without ever seeing one if she didnt know the difference. |
