Untie-able? I have a little female who was given to me by my mentor because she said her male couldn't tie with her. The girl is also a bit hyper, especially if she hasn't had any attention for a while. About a month ago she was in heat and I put the chosen male in with her. I never saw them tie, no one did. We are a family of 5, so if she had tyed someone surely would have seen it. I was told that she could get pregnant without actually tying. After her heat had passed her behaviour changed. I assumed she was pregnant. Now, when she should be a month pregnant I cannot feel any puppies in her tummy. Her tummy does seem a little more swollen than it was before her heat. Someone recently told me that false pregnancies were a bad sign. I would like to know if this is true? I have never run across a false pregnancy. What I am proposing to do with this little girl is to give her time, to see for sure if she will have a puppy or two. If not, I will take her to the vet and have her throughly checked out. If he can find nothing wrong, I will do AI (by the vet) and see what happens then. Does this sound like a plan? Sylvia |
female Tie's are not needed for a pregnancy. I would have her dilated, or you can do it yourself..some have strictures that prevent full penetration..or you can try AI...she may be too hyper for the male and not stand still... Good Luck |
I knew someone would know something about this situation. LOL She is hyper but my little male tried and tried and tried. She stood still as long as she could be patient. My little guy wore himself out. Sylvia |
I will be interested to see how this turns out. |
Assistance can Help My Gypsy is a hyper little bitch (cool to say that-- she is, after all, a female). With her and my male Capone it takes me holding her for the whole mating. Not forcefully, but to help quite her while he penetrates. I also hold them until the breeding is finished, I don't want him to harm her trying to get loose. I couldn't imagine not holding them until it is completed, I would be afraid of tearing of the vagina. |
muzzling Using a soft muzzle is very important with a hyper bitch..it tends to show her YOU are in charge..then hold your arm under the length of her belly, two fingers on each side of the vulva to guide the male in, then you take your other hand, grasp the males rear end and give a gentle but firm push...always works for me..and they are tied..and you can't let go of either...sometimes I wound up on my head..LOL |
I only have one female I have to hang onto. Silly bitch flops over on her back and starts trying to play while they are hooked. Scares me to death when she does that. Not so much that she might get hurt but that she would hurt my male. I figure she wouldn't do it if it hurt her. Now, this little male of mine will not work with help. After they are hooked I can help but I better not try to help before or he is backing off. I usually hold them cause my male is so small that I don't want the girls dragging him around. They can and do if they get the chance! |
