Can dogs tie if the female isn't in heat?

Ollie and Chachi just tied and I haven't seen any signs of her being in heat. Her last heat was in the first of November

I read something about Silent Heats and Split Heats -- I think the split heats are like 12 weeks apart. I will try to find it. I have been reading so mcuh lately not sure where I saw it.

I found it on one site, but it said the second half of the split heat comes 1-6 weeks later and the second one is the fertile one: http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache...nk&cd=17&gl=us This is not where I first read it though. I could have sworn it said up to 12 weeks later. .... I will keep looking and post if I find it.

I don't know either, but bump again. I haven't heard of this...but if it is something..thanks for asking about it because it helps bring it to the attention to those of us who hadn't heard of it!

My Lucy's last two heat cycles were only 4 months apart.... so your girl could be going into heat again....(look for babies in 9 weeks!! :D )

i have never seen or heard of that. WOWOWOWOWOW. mine have never tied unless she was in heat.

Yes, dogs will tie while not in heat...not the norm, but it can happen. Most bitches will fight off the male, but some will stand.

Ut Oh,Sounds like they are watching mom & dad after hours to much. Bad mommy :p They are ok though , right? just a in & out thing I hope:confused: . Puppy Love:rolleyes:

Yes They can My two was tieing every three months and i took them both to the vet. One minute she was growling the next minute she was standing for him.
