Well, I would guess it's time to let Bobbi know......wouldn't you think? |

Done to educate? Who would even know to ask if they are looking for a pet? Anyone who is really checking out pedigrees can find his picture all over the web. I would guess that Gator's pic and name are considered an intangible asset and are covered under either copyright or trademark law. Either way your not suppose to use it without written consent. |

She wrote back and told me pretty much the same thing she told Pat. It was there so, that people that had dogs that had Gator in the pedigree could see him. I informed her she must have written permission from the owner to post in on her website. |

I don't know the daughter but I purchased two yorkies from Shirley a year ago... and I can't say enough about her. A very sweet caring lady... my dogs are in PERFECT health. I have never had a single problem... people stop us all the time to oohh and ahhh over them. Mine are also registered AKC. Shirley still inquires about the puppies and sent us a Christmas card. I live in Colorado so it was quite a trip to go get my little ones... but I don't regret it one bit :D |

Checked this morning and the pic is removed. What was amazing is that I met this lady, Cathy at the Bluebonnet Yorkshire Terrier Specialty in July. I was out in the parking lot structure and she was having trouble getting her lil dog to walk on the lead. I stopped and talked to her and she asked if I'd walk him. How I remembered her from her pic, I haven't a clue....this old memory is not great at this age. |

breeding You can befriend many club members...prove yourself to be ethical, honest, willing to learn and you will be surprised there it will get you. There is no rule YTCA members can not sell for breeding. |

well that is sad....i hate to think they all lied to me but this is what i was told so i discontinued with my search with them. |

I do not think they lied to you. Just to clarify....YTCA members are very, very cautious about placing their dogs with unlimited registration....and most likely it will be with someone that they've known and gained their trust....And the majority breed maybe 1 or 2 litters a year, for themselves, for that next Champion to add to their breeding program. The rest they'll place in approved homes on a spay/nueter contract., or they are spayed or nuetered prior to leaving the breeders home. |

This is part of the code: Purchasers will be required to nueter/spay all puppies sold as pets. |
selling Members of the National or regional clubs are encouraged to place all pets with limited regs..and spay/neuter contracts. Show/breed potentials are left to the breeder to decide who they will trust. Unless, you actually spent time with breeders, allowing them to get to know you and your goals, you will find most say no..and with good reason. You may know you are ethical, but you only had to read these forums to see what some breeders call ethical, fair and honest... |

the virginia breeders who are members |
breeders It comes down to getting to know people...takes time. 30 years ago I went up to Johnny Robinson (Trivar) at a show.. he was the YTCA president at the time among other things...I told him I wanted to buy a show quality male and female...he was polite, Morris was not, told he to get out of his way...but I got to know Johnny and with time he sold me stud service and several nice dogs.. I thought buying a dog was no different then going into a car dealership and picking out a new car.."roll em out guys and show me what you got"..LOL |

i can tell you this much about ckc....kirby was studding a female who was ckc, he is akc, she wanted her puppies to be registered so i contacted ckc. they had no problems registering him w no information at all. so w ckc, you don't have the background information and also, what if he was not a purebred?????....w ckc you don't know if they are a purebred or not. they don't ck. now akc will NEVER register a dog w/o both parents already being registered. |
CC5star I bought one from CC5star when I was visiting the US, it took me a fortune to bring him back. My puppy is in great health but he is a bit too big than I expected. He is 4 months and one week old, weigh 3 pounds 8 oz, but he is already 9" long (back) and 8" in height, she told me that her pups stop growing early, and the bone structure is not going to be any bigger, I wonder if this is true after reading all the chats here. I should have registered earlier before I bought one back:(! Could any one could tell me that if my puppy is going to be over sized? Thanks very much! |
