I know nothing about puppies, except that they are cute! Your little Scout is so precious and you and your husband are doing an awesome job!! I can only imagine the stress and the fear! Congratulations and thank you so much for sharing with us!! ;)

Okay I have been weighing the puppy and she was born at 3.0 oz and today which is the beginning of day four she weighs 5.6 oz. Is that good gain? She has been gaining every time I weigh her... never losing = ) Thanks for the imput... I just want to make sure we are on track!

I would say that is great gaining :) is mom doing better now?

Mom is doing much better. She spent all day yesterday and last night her box with the pup. She is a little frantic now when she is away from her baby... which is a great sign to me. We are still watching like hawks...but she seems to be getting it...FINALLY!! = )

This breeding stuff is way outa my league, but I just wanted to say congrats! Your Scout is beautiful and I'm glad to hear the mama is doing the right thing! Your's is a very heartwarming story.:)

You and your hubby are doing a wonderful job, and congrats on the baby, she is precious! It sounds like she is doing very well, she's gaining weight like she should :thumbup:

We have had a very busy week... but I wanted to let you know that Scout is doing wonderfully. She now weighs 7.1 oz. She is starting to look like a little fat sausage. Thank you all for your kind words = )

i just found this thread and wanted to say congrats on scout!!!! she is just beautiful!!!! i dont have any advice but had to say that you seem to be doing amazing and you should be very proud of yourself (and your husband).....i am thrilled the mommy is loving the baby now, what great news!!! and how wonderful you are keeping her...you are going to have a great time with mommy and baby!!! :)

I posted this in the nursery too... but I wanted to update the people that had so many nice things to say about our new addition!!

Scout is two weeks old today!!! She is growing right before our eyes and it is an amazing thing to be apart of. She now weighs 13.0 oz!!! Eyes are still closed and we are waiting for them to open ;) I am really looking forward to that moment. I keep looking in the box to see if she is peeking back at us.

Thank you to everyone for such wonderful and caring advice. I couldn't have done it without you. A book is a great resource... but talking with people who have been there before is priceless. Especially dog lovers such as yourselves!!! This is a great group of people :D
