Heard of this breeder/lines/dogs? Looking for relatives
 
(Not sure this is the right forum--apologies, if not)

I bought Missie at a pet store almost 8 years ago (before I knew any better). Despite all this, Missie is AKC registered so I have a meager pedigree on her and was wondering if anyone else had a Yorkie from the same lines or the same "breeder."

The name of the kennel (located in Caulfield, MO or Noesho, MO) 8 years ago was Best Friends, and it's now just Pat's Kennel. Missie's sire and dam were Joker Joe & Little One. Other names in her lineage are:
Charlie Joe, P E Cutie Pie, Patty's Boy, Sue VII, KJ Smokey, Angel of Windy Hill, Cooks El Sid, Patty Patsy, Hopping Jack, Sunshine Daisy II.

Her grandparents actually share some sires and dams in different combinations, so her parents and great grandparents were actually all interrelated, as far as I can tell. :thumbdown

Doesn't look like there is any well known Kennel in the line. Interrelated can be Linebred (which is common in great lines) or Inbred (unless the breeder is very experienced it shouldn't be done).

I'm having a hard time reading the pedigree, but it looks to me like Missie's grandmothers have the same dad and her grandmother (dam's side) and grandmother (sire's side) have the same mom.

Also, on her pedigree it has letters after some of the dog's names, and I don't know what they mean. Her dad's name is "Joker Joe E" and her mom's is "Little One E." And her mother's sire is "Patty's Boy E."

And is "Cooks El Sid" really her grandfather's full name or do those letter on the end stand for something? I thought pedigrees had kennel names on them, too?

Looks like your baby was pretty tightly linebred. Being that you got her from a pet store, you may never know her lineage....what the heck, she's healthy and brought you lots of happiness.:)

Not all pedigrees have Kennel names on them.

Not real healthy, but making it through anyway. :) Thanks for all your help. I don't care about her lineage but got curious about reading her ped and seeing if she had any relatives anywhere. :)

I guess that would be nice to know if she had any relatives and you could trade stores with their owners.

Pedigrees are wonderful and informational to breeders. But, for the average pet owner they're a nice to have, to know where your pets are from.

You can get a 10 generation pedigree...that usually has known lines..
