Looking for a sample Stud Contract
 

Hi! I would like to provide stud services with my Yorkie but need to come up with some kind of contract. Does anyone have a good sample of such a thing? Thanks!:)

I don't have one, have you tried googling one?

The lady I am dealing with for stud service did not make me sign a contract but, she is chargeing me $100.00 per live puppy.. is that good????

No that is not good. In fact it is awful. At least to me. I have never heard such a thing but in afterthought, we are breeding yorkies and not coonhounds so it might be alrught. I just never heard of such a thing. Some yorkies do have five or six. My tiny little gal had five so that would be five hundred dollars for me. i don't think most people charge that much.

i charge 350 for my stud and he has produced 5 in each of his litters

1. The fee for the stud service is payable at the time of service, or terms as follows:
The owner of the dam identified above agrees on this date: / / (initialed: ) that the stud fee must be paid to the stud dog owner upon service or before the stud dog owner will sign the AKC litter registration application, which ever is agreeable to both parties.
2. Prior to breeding the owner of the bitch shall have performed STD testing and shall be found to be satisfactory to the stud dog owner within xx days prior to the breeding:
3. A one time return service is available (at no charge) the same bitch, to the same stud dog, if one or more puppies do not result from this breeding.
4. Additional charges for board and transportation of the bitch shall be charged at the following rates:
a. Board at $xx per day.
b. Transportation to/from the - airport at $ xx per trip.
c. Board charges are waived for xx days, after which the above charges shall apply.
d. Additional veterinary charges deemed appropriate by the stud dog owner shall be charged to the bitch's owner at their usual rates.

do hounds breed different than yorkies???
Well to late this time .. and I stayed with my bitch
I did not leave her... it took maybe an hour... Each time..
But I will check into other stud service next time..

I think she was referring to that bigger dog breeds have big litters, 8-14 and at $100 a pup, that is a pretty high stud fee. But since yorkies have small litters, 2-6, the stud fee wouldn't be as high.

I paid $500.00 for stud fee . The prices depend on the quality and pedigree of the Yorkie .

I wasn't planning on selling any of my yorkie's babies, and I didn't, but I paid $800 for stud fees.

I charge the price of one puppy ( both parties have to agree on what that is) or I get pick of the litter and sell it myself!:animal36
