Is my Lacy in labor
 
I was thinking my Lacy was do to have her babies on the 20th of this month. I started taking her temp today and the first time it was 98.6. I even went and got another thermometer and it also said 98.6. Am I thinking correctly that I got the due date wrong and she is probably going into labor within the next 24 hours:confused:

not necessarily so especially since this would be nine days early. IF you are sure she was due on the 20th. Did you maybe miscalculate? if you did then you might be getting ready to have puppies but if the date of the 20th is correct, let's hope she doesn't or you will probably lose your puppies. They rarely live if born before the 58th day.

She was with the male for about 1 1/2 weeks and I didn't actually see her tied until the 20th of Nov. and that was close to end of her cycle.

Lacy was with the male for almost 2 weeks and it was toward the end when I actually saw her tied with Wee Man. It is possible she is further along than I thought. When I had her x rayed Friday the puppies was very calciumized and visible.

Is she nesting/digging, more clingy than usual, diarrhea etc.. Are there any other signs presenting?

You could be a few days off if you didn't see them tie until the end of her cycle.... If I miss a tie , I usually calculate from "mid-cycle".... I am usually close this way.

November 20 gives a due date of January 23.

She seems to be following me around alot, but other than that, nothing but the temperture being 98.6

Have you been taking her temperature several times a day so that you know her normal variations?

ohhhhh gosh. lets hope all is well. i do know sometimes their temp can flux. let see's what happens in the morning.. do you have an emerg vet number on hand?

That is the reason I took it today to get a base line. I just took it again and it was 99.1

Yes, I too hope she waits until tomorrow or better yet next week.
