Any reviews on this strore? Anyone from NY NJ area aver dealt with this place? They have very competetive prices. Cheapest Yorkie is 550 due to size and it goes up to 1400. http://www.puppypetite.com/yorkies.html We bought Remi there 2.5 years ago for 800 and he is 10 lbs now, which I love, I dont want a very small dog, I want to be able to do dog things with him so that a big factor. But I have heard that buying from a store is not the best thing to do. Remi came out to be very healthy and happy, a bit spoiled but thats not my fault. |
By Your post - I think you know buying from a pet store isn't the best way to go..... in most cases, they buy from puppy mills:( :( :( which is why when people buy pet store puppies many feel it's supporting Puppy Mills.....:( here's some threads with reviews - didn't sound too good to me - http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ht=puppypetite http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ht=puppypetite |
Well after all those horror sorries. Hard to say,. We got remi from there and he is healthy as n ox. And Another friend of mine got a poodle from there and he is also a nut case, happy as one can be. Should I consider Remi lucky? I dont support mill factories, I get sick even thinking about it, but I cannt save the world, or every dog out there as much as I can. Also breeders mostly want $1000+, I mean a few hundred dollars dont matter that much, but still, if I can get one for 800, I would think its a better deal. I think I will have to do my research before I go for this. Thanks |
Seems to me that $800.00 for a 10 lb yorkie is a bit much. Doesn't the name puppypetite imply tiny dogs? I'll bet if you posted here what you want, someone would have what you want for that much or less. The thing that bothers me is that everytime a puppy is sold that potentially comes from a puppymill, it gives them the incentive to cage and breed more and more. In a very short time, no one "saves" one dog, but might be responsible for dozens of others being treated as " www.prisoners of greed.org ". JMHO |

Check the rescue and for sale section. There's an 8yr old in NY who needs to be rehomed. He has some issues, but if it's just you and he, he might be ok and overcome them. Sounds like he needs some one on one lovin. :) |

Just wanted to know if anyone had some opinions on it. Thats all. And we are very happy about remi being 10 lbs, he is very active and we can actually play with him like a dog. |
www.stoppuppymills.com i know the puppys at the stores are oh so cute and look so excited that they may get a new home to love them BUT saving a few hundred now will not be worth the heartaches and vet bills a puppymill puppy can bring in the future! they are inbred or porely bred and may have severe behaviorail and health problems down the road. they can't help it they are puppys and have been bred just for money the people that breed and sale those dogs care nothing about them or the new family that get them they are in it to make as much $$ as possible no matter what and treat them like items not real live pets with feelings. anyone who has a good healthy pet store puppy is extremly lucky or just a tragedy waiting to happen any day. |
