Just blue so far -- but I think that is the norm for puppies and then they change later on.

My boy has always reflected green since I've got him @ 12 weeks. This is SUPER interesting to read!!

Heather, I would lean toward silk if I had to guess at this stage due to his heading breaking sliver already..

AND Abbie is a Christmas Yorkie...bright green eyes and a big red bow...pretty!!

:) hehehe....thanks. She looks like an alien to me ("I am from the planet Yorkthon. Give me all your empty water bottles!"). edited to add: When this picture was taken, I had no clue about the eye/coat color thing, and I thought there might be something wrong with her eyes! lol

That rose clip came from Connie. She only wears it when we go out, as she can get it out, and I don't want to loose it! The silver on top is turning light gold, now, but I see more silver along her back. :( I want her to stay black!

Wow this is very interesting and I have read this somewhere before and thought it was maybe an old wives tales or something. It worked on all of my dogs. I am still confused about yellow tho. Could that mean they could still be silk. I am not understand what she means by the yellow meanins the coat is gold bronze. Does that mean the gold part of the dog or something else. It doesnt really what color will reflect if the coat is black tho. Does anyone here know and I would love to know about what age the pups turn from blue to whatever color they will truely be. Anyone help clear this up for me?

Here are some pictures of Siu Pao.The first picture he was 12 weeks old and the last one was about 4-5 months old.Is he a silk coat?

From the green eye shine I would think silk. Does his hair get matted easily, if not that is further indication of silk.

His hair does not matt easily but in the second picture, one eye was green, the other was yellow..is that caused by the camera and the flash position?

I noticed the two different colors in the second pic, and it probably is a camera/flash thing. The last pic is the one where the green eye shine stands out most. Try the flashlight trick too. Put him in a dark room, you stand outside the door, shine a flashlight into the room and see what color eye shine you get then. This can be more reliable than a photo. Yorkierose is the real expert when it comes to coat type, maybe she will take a look at your pics too.
