? On a Breeder I found I probably won't get another yorkie until the end of this year, or in 08, but sometimes I search around adoption agencies and breeders just to get an idea of where I want to get my next one. So I came across this page, and I kinda browsed it and didn't notice any red flags, but she has a link to another breeders page (where she got one of her puppies) and I saw that this other breeder does sell "teacups" and only sells their yorkies as pets, but then how did this breeder get one for breeding (maybe there friends and it was an acception though)? Here's a link..what do you guys think? Does anyone else see any red flags that I should run from when I do decide it's time for another one? http://www.cherylsyorkies.com/index.html |
your puppy is gorgeous. You should check the AKC suspension list to make sure they are not on it. I found it very helpful here in Florida. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as a tea-cup yorkie ( per AKC representatives ) so if you are looking for a small yorkie, dont let anyone tell you that they cost more because they are a rare breed called tea-cup. I know they are gorgeous ! But you should not have to pay more money for the small pup of the litter. I love any size yorkie ! I have 2- male and female not small yorkies. suki is 5.5 lbs and mai-tai is 5lbs. |
Dear Rae I also live in chicago - n.w. side. I am looking for a second yorkie to play with my 9 mo. old female yorkie. If you know of any breeders please keep me informed. I will be ready to take one home after our spring vacation in April. I went on that website. I was told that my yorkie would be 5 lbs. She is just shy of 9 lbs but she is wonderful and I never thought I could love a dog so much! |
I looked for red flags. Might want to read her guarantee through. It does not cover cocia (or however its spelled), worms and there was a few other things it also didn't cover. The one thing I didn't like.....did you see that daddy yorkie? He looks like a puppy himself. And she seems to keep mama and daddy cut really short. Is that normal? I'm no expert thats for sure. But one thing I did see that I liked, is she know there is no such thing of a teacup, mini or micro mini! I'd sure check the AKC suspension list on ANY person your wanting to by a pup from, as someone already suggested. |
breeder I do not think much of her health guarantee...I can only see a two day guarantee..even a liver shunt puppy can have two good days in a row..using a flop earred stud is not good breeding practices IMO..and her bitch is soft coated. You asked...and I am hard on breeders. |
