I get nervous too cuz Meiah already sat on her. So I watched to see what would happen and after a couple seconds she moved but still...all that worries me ! |

Shewwwww, HOW stressful! What a wonderful happy ending though!  Your new little girl is adorable and no, 4 1/2 ounces isn't too big. You really do have to keep a close eye on the pup (as you are). Mamma will not remove her from dangerous situations that may smother her. Just do a puppy check frequently without disturbing Meiah. Meiah will have to pee frequently and then want right back in with her pup. Do not encourage her to want to spend time away (some people feel guilty thinking they aren't spending enough time with a new Mamma). I can't believe they didn't come out sooner at the vet's and tell you she was having the pup naturally. EVERYTHING worked out well in the end though! CONGRATULATIONS!!!:bravo: |
