Oxi Shot Just wondering..... If you know nothing is retained...an Oxi shot isn't needed correct? My last litter my vet said if we had a good delivery (we didn't :() then there was no need to come back unless there were issues. |
Oxi is used to induce/continue labor and contractions. It is used when there is a placenta retained or another pup(s) left.:) |

Some will do it the day after whelping just in case there was a small piece of placenta that was still attached to the uterine wall. It helps to "clean" out the uterus. |
