Beaufords TLC Kennel, MO.. anyone heard? I am looking into buying a puppy from them, just wondering if anyone has ever heard anything about them.. www.yorkshireterrierpup.com I've googled and yahooed them, but haven't found anything negative.. Thanks! |
something just doesn't feel right or look right with the dogs.. |
pups are cute, but.... I don't know anything about them..but man, they have a lot of yorkies...20 some on their breeding page. And if you read the comments section, there is one person who bought a pup and emailed for a pic of the pups sire, wanting to know what he looks like. I would think you would know that before you purchase a puppy. Personally..I wouldn't buy off of them. |
I dont know anything about the breeder. BUt from past experience I would call the AKc with the owners name and ask if they are in good standing, even if you dont see their name on the bad breeders list. I would also ask for 3 or more phone numbers of past buyers for references and call them. You could also call the seller and ask them if they have any cases of puppies getting sick after leaving home. See how they react. You cant hear a reaction on an email. Of course you cant always tell a whole lot from a phone conversation. Good luck!!! Maybe someone else knows more. |
In just glancing at the site I counted 26 "BREEDERS" and 20+puppies for sale. 1st-I would not buy a puppy from anyone that lists the parents as "Breeders". The entire site left a very bad impression on me. You might want to check the USDA list while you are doing your research. |
double post. |
I've seen the website before, but I've never heard of them. I think the dogs and puppies look dirty. They don't look as though they have been taken care of properly. That doesn't mean that they aren't loved and played with. They just look like they need baths. They don't look scared like many other websites I've seen. Oh, and I think she's charging too much for the quality that they are. |
site Aside from the fact, none of the adults are breed quality IMO...I would never buy from a midwest kennel unless I knew the breeder personally...9 out of 10 are volume breeders..and that is a fact. |
Those Yorkies really doesn't impressed me . |
Aside from the pups not really being very appealing to me, there are 22 pups LISTED for sale... and notice at the top that the breeder writes they aren't even shown on the site until they are 8-9 weeks old. And I counted 29 "breeders" (including the two at the very top by the title of the page) as she calls them. If they have 29 parents, they could very easily have over 100 dogs total. I would definitely steer clear of this place. |

I have bought a pup from there, and known of a few others that also have. They are very good people, they love the dogs. i dont think they have 29 parents. when we went they had a bout 4 pups for sale, and about 4 that were only a few weeks old. they keep most of the older dogs in their house and let them run free around the house and yard. When we picked my little man up, i admit i was a little dissapointed that he hadnt been bathed in the last week or so. But other than that i think they were great. |
This is a very old thread--two years. I don't know anything about this thread, but from looking at the website, there are MAJOR red flags all over it. If I counted correctly, the page with their breeding stock shows 48 separate dogs. Most of the females are way to small to be bred--3 1/2 and 4 pound girls! :thumbdown (Am not touching quality representation of the breeding stock with a 10 foot pole) According to the ages of the available pups for sale, they have had a very high number of litters in a very short amount of time-- 3/31, 4/26, 5/3, 5/21, 6/11, 6/12, 6/22, 6/23, 6/24--5 litters in the month of June alone!? Plus, they are USDA breeders. I'm sorry, but the info on this site does NOT paint a good picture for them.:thumbdown |
