I am curious plz help!!! I have a 13 wk old male yorkie who I have not decided if I want to breed or not Im waiting until he is older to make the desicion but I am curious what the standards are for breeding a male?? As far as looks, his lines and everything if there is a breeder who knows plz let me know i am very very curious because I see some very odd looking yorkies around my area where there are lots of backyard breeders for ALL types of dogs!! Thank you very much.. and what is the normal price for a sire stud I see some crazy prices from 1500 to 2000 is that normal? |
stud Start by going to dog shows and see what breed quality males look like..meet breeders, learn the standard. Also, be aware breeding males will mark in the house, they do not make the best pets for that reason..neutered, they will be 100% better about being clean in the house. |
If your boy was bought as a pet quality from a BYB or other less responsible breeder, then it should by all means be considered a PET. If not bought with specific features in mind, then neuter him and keep him as a pet, You will love him as much, he can be less assertive and ta-da,, the biggy- HE PROBABLY WILL NOT MARK YOUR HOME! A stud makes a very difficult boy to keep in your home without a belly band.. |
