I have to agree with Txshopper73. Don't give ham products. My friend had a bad experience not long ago with her yorkie and Ham. Her hubby gave her yorkie some pork and the baby got sick. I know sometimes we think we are doing good for them by giving "meat" in general. Chicken is always best. (white meat) When I have had a sick baby in the past I always fed rice with a bit of shredded chicken meat. When you have a puppy/adult dog with an upset stomach you want to give a very "bland" food. Glad she's doing better. You really need to get her on better food. The foods you mentioned are not good, especially for a pregnant, nursing mom. Cesar canned is very poor quality, Purina is also and never give ham, hotdogs, bologna, etc. If you have to tempt her to eat boil chicken and serve with cooked white rice, you can also add some cottage cheese and boiled egg. Several (4 per day) small meals are best at this point since there isn't much room in her tummy. She should have been on a puppy formula for her pregnancy and while nursing. When looking for a quality dog food, look for a food that has no meat by-products, no corn, and meat as the first ingredient. They're not sold at grocery stores or department stores, go to a petstore. Make sure you start the puppies out right with a good quality food. They start eating a gruel of pulverized dry and water about 4 weeks old. Keep us posted. I bet you're getting really excited, it's getting close. |
update another day of no vomiting and yes i havent gaven her any more luch meat products after someone on here told me that a few days ago. i am feeding her puppy food and also giving her some of the milk replacement supplement too.. no vomiting since sat wooooooohooooooooo. she is eating and drinnking well and feeling so good ty all. i will keep u all updated this is day 57 wooohooo not much longer to wait. i am so excited.. ty all for all the tips i appreciate it :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
omg she is gettting so rolly polly lol she likes for me to rub her belly and i was looking at her and she is huge bless her heart and she waddles when she walks it so cute anyway she is still doing good andty i been researching the food deal and gonna get her some better food tomorrow ty all again for the advise and support it is really apreciated... will keeep you all up to date like i said it is say 57 today so not much longer....:aimeeyork :aimeeyork :D |
