What was her problem. I've been looking for a puppy for quite a while now and I think I may have found a breeder. Anyway, one of the people I talked to before called to say she had some puppies. I talked to her a little bit about her puppies, but the price was too high. So I told her that I thought I had found a breeder and she asked me about her. I told her what I knew about the breeder and the dogs. The lady (Blumoon Yorkies) totally went off on me saying that I didn't know what I was doing and how I could call her when my puppy had health problems, blah, blah, blah. My impression was that she was mad because I wasn't interested in her puppies. What do you think? This lady really ticked me off. |
breeder Gigi Zybk, Blumoon Yorkies is a very nice person..perhaps she was concerned about the breeder you are buying from..or she was having a bad day..in any case if you get a sick pup I would not call Gigi for advice. LOL |
Definetely Not I wouldn't call her. I heard from someone that belongs to YTCA that she does that whenever someone is going to buy from a different breeder. I was also told that she reserves the right to take the puppy/dog if she feels it's not being treated right. |

Thirteen years ago when I signed the sale contract for Zsa Zsa , there was a clause saying if for a reason or another , I wasn't able to keep the dog , the breeder would take her back . I always kept in touch with the breeder . Breeding dogs is a responsability for life . |

This is kind of odd..... i would understand her taking the dog if you xcouldnt keep it...... but they way you put it it sounds like she is capable of just taking the dog for no apparent reason other then "SHE" thinks it is not being treated right........ I mean cmon lets face it, some of you might not like the way others do things with their pets, but that doesnt mean you would just take their dog :( |
pets The reason there are so many rescues is because the breeders refuse to take back their dogs when the owner can not keep it. I think it is the responsible thing to do..and of course no one can come into your home and just take your dog. |
Finally...Someone gets it Thank you, Orinskye, someone finally understands what I'm saying. I haven't read her contract but from what I've heard it is in her contract that she's not selling you a puppy she's selling the privilage to raise one of her dogs and she reserves the right to TAKE the puppy back as she sees fit. I've been warned from several YTCA breeders to read her contract very carefully. |
Blumoon That is a strange contract clause. I would certainly talk to her more about it if I was buying from her..get the facts. A word of advise..and I know you did not ask me for any, but. ..Never believe 100% what breeder A has to say about Breeder B. Find out for yourself. There is a person on Yorkiefriends who bought two pups from a Canadian breeder who has a terrible reputation for ripping people off..and she is a show breeder...that was her decision after knowing the facts. Best wishes |
As usual, YorkieRose has given the best advice. I tell people all the time that they can ask me anything about a puppy/dog no matter who the dog came from including pet shops. The puppy is the victim so many times. But, do not ask specifics about a breeder. It is unethical to discuss heresay. Only, a personal experience should be discussed if anything at all is said.. |
