how many months does it take for testes to drop i've found a four month old male yorkie that i'd like to buy for breeding but his testicals have yet to drop. he's very tiny should that matter:confused: |
I also have a 4 month old male yorkie. One of his testicles hasn't dropped yet. The vet keeps monitoring it whenever I take him in for his shots. Last time she said "I still don't feel it, but he's still got a couple months until we have to be worried." I don't know an exact age, but based on what my vet is telling us, you're still fine for now. |
Thank You For Your Help Your Puppy Is Absolutly Adorable:) |
K.C. is 3 pounds 14 oz. full grown and the vet felt both of his at 9 weeks. I think you still have time, but if you are definitely buying him for breeding, I would get that written into the contract. Here's a link it says no more than 4 months. http://www.upei.ca/~cidd/Diseases/ur...torchidism.htm |
We waited for Jo's to drop until he was around a year old and it never did so we had him neutered. |
Timmy's drop when he was 5 months old. |
lacys mom thank you for that link now that i've read that i really don't think that would be the best dog for me plus he's quite expensive |
