Yorkie wanted Hello everyone. I'm looking for a yorkie but I'm not sure if I should buy from someone one who claims to ship me the puppy right away. This guy is by the name of Chris Fischer. At first he said he lives in California but now claims to be in Nigeria. He gave me both addresses even a phone number. Say's I should view the web page of www.markpuppy.net. Has anyone heard of the guy. Is this a scam? $350.00 for a Teacup Yorkie is not a bad deal. I've got his email too. Thanks to anyone who replies. |
big time scam jmo...:thumbdown |
IT'S A SCAM, SCAM, SCAM Anyone from NIGERIA or AFRICA is a SCAM. $350 for a yorkie is too good to be true and you know what they say, if its too good then it probably is. |
Thats a scam |
DONT DO IT.....ITS A SCAM!! Same thing happened to me, it sounds good but its a scam keep emailing the person and ask more and more questions. |
scam with a capital S!! Please dont fall for it!! Dawn |
Yorkie wanted I'm glad I got into this wed site. I probably would have gone through it. I'd Thanks. Linda875 :) |
I'm sorry but I wouldn't buy a dog without seeing it in person first. Read all the stories of disappointment from people who picked up their yorkie themselves and feel taken advantage of. I know many people buy with only a photo but it's too easy to send a different dog or even no dog at all. If you can't spare enough time to pick up your dog, how are you going to find the time to give it the proper care and attention? |

Yorkie wanted The guy sent me some pictures to view. But, your absolutley right. I'm just going to keep looking. LB |
Don't do it. They have the same ads here in charlotte in the newspaper. I know how much you want one, but they don't deliver on the deal. They take your money and you will never see your baby. They run real nice photos to make you believe that they have the best and sometimes they say that they are working for a missionary . There are ads posted in my paper warning people. check out someother areas in the newspaper on line and i bet you will find the same type of ads. good luck on finding your baby , but don't do it this way. |

That's definitely a scam, there are lots of them out there. Have you checked in the "yorkie for sale or wanted" forum here? Best of luck to you in your search! |

Hi and welcome to YT!!! there are so many reputable breeders on here and I'm sure you will be able to find a healthy quality baby soon! I wish you much luck and I know you will be so happy when you find the right Yorkie for you! Good luck! |
Yep. I'd bet my next pay check on it,(well my DH...LOL) scam! |
I have not checked in the "yorkie for sale or wanted" forum here. I'm new to this website but I'm going to check on it soon. I can travel some also to meet Yorkie breeders. Hopefully I'll find one soon. thanks LB |
Yeah, it is a scam. It is amazing how many missionaries and how cheap they claim to sell them. Don't do it. Sorry!!! Good luck, though!;) :) |
how to "check on a scam dog" If there is someone that has a puppy or dog listed for sale and it appears to be a scam, I have learned a couple of different ways to check it out: If they say the dog is AKC you can verify the registration number by going on the AKC website and do a lookup on the number http://www.akc.org/store/free/ click on dogs lookup and fill in the info. If they tell you the puppy does not have a number yet because they haven't been registered, ask for their parents' numbers. It should still tell you what type of animal the number is registered to and what the animal's name is. I have also done reverse lookups on phone numbers to see if there phone number matches the area they say they are from (even if it is a cellphone, it will tell you what area they phone number is based out of) http://www.411locate.com/ If they ask you for your phone number, don't give it out. Instead, you ask for theirs and then you can look it up. Hope this helps.... Jan |
