Penis humping with blood???
 
My little boy has been going crazy humping his bed these past two nights. And last night he left wet spots on it??? Tonight I walked by and where he is humping it there was some blood. So I wiped him and he had some blood coming from his penis. WHY?????? He's almost 8 months old, his testicals are fully dropped. Is this something they go thru?????? HELP????

Time to remove his "fully dropped" testicules..sounds like he is just doing what comes natural for males, next he will start marking in the house..JMO but a neutered male, is a happy one..canine that is..LOL

What has happened is that he's probably got some of his hair into the sheath, that's what has caused the blood. Get some KY Jelly, pull back the sheath and remove the hairs, apply KY Jelly on his penis. I know this just happened to one of mine. The reason for the humping is that he's hit puberty. Yes, it's something they go through at this age. It'll get better, unless you plan to stud him, then he'll go through it when ever there is a female in season.

I'm using him for breeding, so I wasn't planning on neutering him. The blood thing just scared the crap out of me. He's watched VERY closly in the house. (he's a little bugger in that area anyways) Not looking forward to the marking! :)

I'll take a better look. I've got some KY...put it right on the penis? The blood thing just worried me. Yes, he's been going pretty crazy on his bed! The wetness I spotted yesterday.....do they ejackulate as well on things?

I understand you being worried, I ran with mine to the vet. Mine usually does ok in the house when there's a female in season, but I brought a girl that hadn't been here, who was in full blown season and he went nuts. Yes, they do have ejaculations. Just make sure you wash him to get any debris off and apply the KY.

Okay - I went and washed him and applied KY. It looked fine and there wasn't anymore blood. I have a female as well but I don't think she's in season. Or could I be wrong? Do they only act this way when there is a female near by in season, or will the stud hump all the time, especialy seeing how he's so young?

How old is your girl? Sometimes dogs know before, but don't usually act like you've described unless the female is ready. He's probably just going through puberty 7-8 months. Check your girl and if you don't want any accidents seperate them.

She's 1. I plan to breed them together eventually when they are both old enough. Right now they are always together. I havn't seen him try to mount her and she doesn't stand for him either. But I'll check her just to make sure. With my Chi its easy to spot, her's is right there in plain sight. With my yorkie, she's so hairy, everything is covered up! :)

Sometimes little yorkies go through a silent heat, but even if it's full blown you may not be able to see unless you catch her right after she potties and you press a klenex to her. But, you should be able to see if she's swollen and pink. If he's not trying to hump her, she's probably not in or not ready.
