oki so i think i will go ith just bringing her there and all..her tummy seems to be a little tighter than usual today so wel see what happens thanks again |
Hi diamond, I am sorry your babies first time is such a risky one! I was nervous I mean REALLY nervous the first time my Autumn whelped. Her second litter is due in 9 days. I have regular checkups with the vet (she has one tomorrow. Thought it was today and I got my dates confuzzled. Too much excitement I think LOL) and my vet lives about 2 miles from my house. Her last litter we had one still born pup that I had to pull. I called my vet at his home and he talked me through the pulling process. I feel more prepared this time around then I did last time, so I agree I think all first timers are more nervous than others. My vet is on my speed dial and he has said I can call him at home no matter the time when Autumn has this litter. So I suggest talking to your vet or someone who is more experienced with whelps to either be with you and your little one or atleast on call so you can get her help immediately if she should need it. Good luck and may she have 5 beautiful babies! |
hello all shes still hanging in she can barely hold her self up now and her bark has changed a little...shes playful but also loves to sleep...just keeping her near for now i take her to work with me and bring her box to sleep in...shes still eating very little so i guess todays not the day..but im ggoing to watch her closely anyways maybe shel eat until her contractions start you never know and im not taking chances..puppies are moving around not as much as before but you feel them going in circles or youl feel the head or foot stick out of the side...so just a bried update |

I don't think you will need another appointment. Autumn is going for her checkup because we haven't had the x-ray yet. If you have a 24 hour vet that is good! Just keep watching her and try to relax. |
my thoughts are with you. i will soon be on lookout for puppies next week and i am already a wreck. hang in there. when the time comes, i am sure you will be strong for your little princess. |
oki so she has stopped eating again the last she ate was half a bowl of chicken and a piece of shish kebab and we tried giving her chicken again at like 6 and she didnt touch it its now 12:29 AM and we gave her a treat and she ate it but still not eating food..a little panting and a lot of sleeping...her stomach is tight *hard* so thats it for now i hope its soon so she doesnt suffer anymore but thats all for now keep praying thank you |
Thanks for the update. Poor Fendi, but I'm glad she's still able to carry them. Good job, baby girl. |
Good luck! Can't wait to hear when she gives birth to those 5 little furbabies! :p |
oki dumb ? but have to ask bc im a nervous freak as the seconds go by i get worst...she keeps farting...or just a bad smell coming from her...is this bad? she just ate a little chicken so maybe shes keepin them in as long as possible hopefully i pray that they are all healthy and fully developed when the time comes |
made a mistake and couldnt fix it oops sorry |
poor baby. have you started taking her temperture yet? |
I think she has said she already tried taking her temp and her baby wasn't cooperating. Kept biting her. Diamond, I would ask your husband to hold her firmly, not to tight, don't want to hurt her, and try doing her temp again. |
how is she doing??? |
Don't remember any of mine "farting" so I'll leave that up to a breeder who breeds more frequently and maybe has come across that. If you smell a foul odor though I would check her discharge and make sure it isn't green. |
