advertising on Puppyfind.com, or in the local newspaper. I currently have a free ad on Puppy Find, and a newspaper listing on the internet and a newspaper ad on print. I have had alot of responses from the online local newspaper, but none from Puppy Find. I am wondering if I should pay for the membership on Puppy Find or renew the Newspaper listing (online and/or print), or both. What was more successful for you? Newspaper or PuppyFind?
ETA: I am not shipping my pups, so if the listing is on PuppyFind, it I am not willing to ship, it would be local pick up only.

When I was searching for my pup, I was more attracted to the online ads that had the breeder's website as well. I hated going through the newspaper and calling people. When I finally found my breeder online, we corresponded every other day through email and phone calls.

Don't give up on Puppyfind. Maybe right now since it summer, people are looking to buy a dog. Either way, keep on trying. :thumbup:

I bought my last Yorkie on Puppyfind. I drove 3-4 hours to pick him up. I plan to sell my pups on puppyfind as well. I too, look for a website. I'll be listing my pups with my website as well. Good luck!

When you purchased yours, was the breeder already a member? Did you look into ads where the breeder was not a member on puppyfind, and there was a fee to contact the breeder?

This is my experience with puppyfind. When I first started looking at the ads, it seemed that several of the ones I was interested in were the ones that said the advertiser requested you be a member to view their ads. I finally broke down and bought a membership and found that most of those free ads that I had to pay to view were nothing but scams anyway. My membership ran out and I have not renewed. Now I still look at the ads but if it is one of those kind, I just move on. I dont know what it costs for a paid ad that everyone can look at but if I ever have pups to sell I would pay so that everyone could see the info as I think I would get more responses just going by my own experiences from this side of the fence. JMHO :animal-pa

With Chizzie's litter, I had two puppies that I planned to sell. I put an ad up at my vet's office and within a few days I had found the perfect Mom for Chloe. I am still waiting for Howard's family to show up.

I don't think alot of people trust the Puppyfind type sites any longer..there is just too much scamming going on. If you have regular litters, I found Breeders.net produced tons of emails and calls...ShooterDog.com was good for me also.

Thank you! No I am not going to be doing this too regularly. I bred this summer and probably won't breed again for 1 1/2 years. Is that site mostly for breeders that are doing it more regularly? I have 3 kids, and as much as I LOVED this experience, I do not want to breed the Mom again in this next cycle, and I don't want to do it again next summer, because we weren't able to go anywhere this summer with all the puppies being here. So I probably won't breed again till maybe next October. Would you still recommend that site? I currently have an ad in the online Palm Beach Post, and have had ALOT of calls, and people come to see the pups, but no one that I really wanted to sell the pups to, for different reasons. I just didn't think it was a good match with the pups and the people. I also had a print ad in the newspaper, and got ALOT of REALLY old people calling, that wanted me to bring the pups to them to look at, and that again wasn't a good match. I wanted to try something different. Would you recommend the Breedernet.com for me?
