I am not sure when she had her pups, how old are they? Often the dams will get a loose stool the first few days after having puppies especially if they eat the afterbirth. If you are feeding something a little different because she has whelped that can throw them off. You are limited to what you can give her as she is nursing pups. Pedialyte which is a electolyte solution for babies or kids will often work pretty good. Do you have pedilyte in your Chemist shops where you are in England or a product like it? If you do, about 3 cc's about 3 or 4 times a day for a couple of days should work. You can't give it more than 3 days in a row. |
White rice will help firm up her stools. |
thanks for the advice she gave birth a week ago i will try your suggestions , she is eating fresh chicken everyday which she has eaten since she was a pup herself and her dried food is always in her bowl so nothing too different she has a spoon of cottage cheese too , we are having a heatwave here in the uk so i wonder if that could have affected her |
It could be due to this heat, it's very hot here too! |
