we have babies!!
 
ok i have been up for almost 30 hrs straight so if i dont make since sorry. mom and babies are wonderful. 5 boys 1 girls unless i was looking cross eyed at some point of the night. had to take mom to vet to get an oxitosin (sp) shot she did have a placenta retained but it came out while there. they did another xray ( for free) since they miss read the other one and it showed nothing left in mom. yeah!! i want to thank my breeder for helping me also i want to thank feminvstr and sylvan for talking with me lastnight. feminvstr stayed on the phone till almost 3:30 am my time. and it was very nice to meet you sylvan. thank you all 3 of you so much. well better catch some zzzzzz while i can.

Try to take some pictures and put them in the nursery for all to see. I bet they are just so sweet. Love, love, love babies!!:)

Awww I'm so happy the babies and mom are doing well!! Way to go! Great big thanks and kudos to 2 of our best breeders here, Kim and Stacey. Way to show your love for the yorkies ladies. :D Now if only you guys can come to MY house with your clan so I can watch a birth and play with puppies, THAT would be perfect!

Glad everything went well and it was nice "meeting" you. kiss the new babies for me after you get a little rest....on the bellies, so you can double check boys and girlies.

thanks for all the congrats on our new babies. they are doing great. will get some pic's up soon. they get tails and dew claws done this afternoon so might do a before and after shot of them. thanks again everyone.

They are not even 3 days old, and you're getting tails & dews done already?!?! I thought you were suppose to wait until they were 4-6 days old?

I'm not criticizing, I just want to know what's the correct time frame, so I do it right with Gracie.

3-5 days is the average age to dock the tails

I was just going by debbiejensen.com. She says 4-6.

I also have mostly heard 3 to 5. Five days on the smaller ones. Every vet seems to have his own preference, if you don't do them yourself.

I think she had them done because if she waited until Monday they would be 5 days old. So her Vet told her to bring them in yesterday. It's usually better to wait, I think, until they are at least 4 days old, but the puppies all weighed over 5 ozs., and nursing so good, so at this size they should be fine.

thanks janet for answering the question. and you answered it correctly. my vet didnt want to wait till monday 5 days and they are all doing just fine. i usually do wait till 3 days but the timeing was just off. been pretty busy here the last couple of days. thanks again.

they are the greatest. at 3:30 am i wasnt making alot of since and i think feminvstr was just talking to keep me going. dont now what i would have done without her. cant thank her and sylvan and my breeder enough. this is how bad i was i grabbed the phone when abbey started whelping to tell my breeder and somehow i called the wrong # dont know who got my message but i'm sure they thought what the heck are they talking about.
