Silk's Maternity Ward We are expecting puppies the 25th or 26th of August. (We hope).. Dam: Coburn's JudaBob Southern Showgirl (Silk) Weight 5.4lbs color: Black and Gold altho her paper says blue and gold she is as black as any black I have ever seen. Sire; Dee's Lil' Ceeby weight : somewhere between three and a half to just under four. Not sure right now color: blue/gold Silk has had two or three litters. She only has two puppies. Has never had more which is odd but I will be glad for two that are healthy and have all their 'fingers and toes". I have been told she is a very good mother. i forgot what else I was supposed to post but will update later. |
Thanks for posting. I'm looking forward to each of your deliveries. I think most are first time Moms. Most likely, you do not have to worry about a C-section since she has delivered naturally before so I am sure that is somewhat of a comfort (although it still could happen). |
I can't wait! This will be so fun. Keep up updated :) My other vet that we sometimes use said that a female will usually have the same number of puppies almost every time....never heard that before...but perhaps it's true. |
Can't wait to see pics. Yorkie puppies rule! |
Thanks!!!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!! We are keeping our fingers crossed. It has been ninty degrees here yesterday and today and my babies hardly can stand being outside longer than five minutes. I feel sorry for Silk. She has more hair than the other two and just lies down in the sun so I have been bringing them right back in. |
update on pregnancy Well, I can happily say that Silk's little belly is looking fuller and tighter. Boobs are swollen some too. my hubby assures me that she has puppies in there. YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! |
what day are you on???? i am trying to keep up with these maternity wards and i am getting ya'll mix'd up. can't wait for the babies |
hello....what going on with mamma silk???? anything new??? |
update on pregnancy i thought I posted an update yesterday but don't see it today. We are on day 23. yesterday i noticed that her little boobies were pink on the ends and a little swollen at the base. Her tummy is fuller and tighter. AND!!!!!! i felt three little "bumps" today. They are about the size of the end of my finger. My hubby assures me that those bumps are puppies. Silk's previous owner said she always has two puppies. i think she has had three litters in the past. Not sure. But I definitely felt three and maybe four. I am so excited. Her appetite is good. in fact, too good. She is a little nauseous sometimes this past week. |
ok....only a few weeks away. what's the update????? |
Update you asked for Silk is 39 days pregnant and is eating well almost too well. She is doing great. Her little tummy has been clipped. I have not shaved it yet but well take it down some more the last week. Her little belly is pooching out and hard. I THINK I can feel three puppies but not sure. Her previous owner said she always has only two. I will have her X-Rayed about a week before due date. I have all my supplies ready except towels. I need some new ones so I am going to buy new ones for the bathroom and use my old ones for whelping. It has been in the nineties for a few days. I only allow her (and the others) outside for about five, no longer than ten minutes. She has trouble getting on the couch now and she doesn't run after Lucy (the pug) much. She just runs a few steps then lays down. Soon, I will have to start picking her up for the couch. i can't wait. |
jumping off couch anyone know how to keep Silk from doing this short of crating her? Thanks |
Quote:
I train mine to wait on the couch before I pick them up so they won't jump down. Just get her to stay and wait until you can pick her up instead of her jumping down. |
Thanks thanks for your reply. That's what I have been trying to do. The problem with that is that I am not where she is all the time. |
what's going on with silk???? |
