Please help my pregnant yorkie My little Suzy (2 year old) tied the knot on Feb 22nd so she is just in her 8th week. This is her first litter, she weighed 5.5lbs before breeding. I began taking her temperature last night and it was 99.9. Today around 1, I took it again and it was 99.6. If it is supposed to be around 63 days, then she should have at least until around Sunday or Monday. Is her temperature okay? Any suggestions or coments would be appreciated. |
Molly is due also My Molly was bred on the 24th of Feb and is due shortly. I always click this link http://www.schaferhund.com/pregnancy.htm and enter the pertinent information, click calulate. It will give you a basic run down of what to expect during the gestation period. My girls generally go between 60 and 62 days. Be sure to let us know when they're born. |
The temp usually drops to about 98-99 prior to whelping. Its not always on target but most times its a pretty good judge. Here's a couple sites with good stuff on whelping and pup care. http://www.phi-vestavia.com/articles.htm http://www.debbiejensen.com/ |
My little Suzy gave birth to 4 puppies at 1 am Sunday morning. I was up until about 3am. She did very good, she did not make any loud noises or screams. 3 males 1 female. |
