Thank you all for EVERYTHING.... All the wonderful information from you ladies and the awsome websites you posted really helped me to be prepared for our delivery. I am so happy that I didn't listen to my neighbors and friends who told my I was overreacting in getting the necessary supplies, and that all I had to do was sit back and watch her do it all. That was so not the case, and I am soooo happy I listened to all of your advice and was very prepared. So many things popped into my head from what I had read and when it came down to it, that is what saved my pups and made it so successful. So I thank you all for the wonderful gifts I am now enjoying. I am also so proud of my Princess. She has turned into the worlds best Mommy. She is taking such good care of the puppies. Whenever she leaves them which would only be for a second if we force her to go outside, the pups start crying. They are quiet as can be as long as she is with them, licking them, and snuggling with them! We sit on the floor and hand feed Princess to make sure she is getting enough food. And forcing her outside to pee. We called the Dr. but are bringing them in on Friday because we didn't want to disturb them, with there bonding time, and the Dr. said it was fine. I read quite a few of you suggested giving Mommy Cottage Cheese. Is that safe, or should I check w/ the Dr. first? I had also heard of Tums for extra calcium but then someone told me that could also cause problems so we opted NOT to give it. We are also giving mom Nutrical, so I am not sure if that is good enough. If you can advise me I would greatly appreciate it. Here are some pics. We still don't know if they are male or female! LOL! It has just not been important to us to disturb them and check. We clean the bedding every day and weigh them, and try to put them back as quickly as possible because Mom gets upset when she is not snuggling with them. When they were born we had two that were 4 oz and two that were 5 oz. All went up between 1/4 to 1/2 an oz by the 2nd day. They look even bigger than that, but they were squirming alot on the scale. So here are the pics! http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...dash/12hrs.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...12hoursold.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...ash/062706.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...sh/062706a.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...sh/062706b.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...sh/062706c.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2...sh/062706d.jpg |

They are so so adorable, thanks for posting pics and sharing your experience with us. :) :) |
1/2 tums am and pm is good...and won't hurt her. Calcium before whelping is not recommended. be very care with the bedding. Many moms will bury pups and you can lose one overnight. Heating pad under half of whelping box? |

Congratulations!!! They are so adorable, soooooo cute! Princess is a good mom! |
Congrats. I miss babies so much. They are beautiful. |
They look so precious. Isn't it amazing? they are just so perfect when they are born. I video taped mine every day just so i could remember them as they were. they grow so fast. its funny because mine took my bed away from me. meaning, I slep with them in the whelping box! ( I had a big place for her, butnot enough that I could stretch out) :Birthday3 :welcome4: |
