What to do? My daughter has a little sweetie Yorkie named TIA she is about 8 mo. and weighs, 3.5bsI have my Monty about 2yrs. old , we would like to mate them , do you think that's wise, ?I forgot Monty weights about 6.5. I am planning on having Monty neutered, but would like to mate him first. We would wait until she is a year old. Would Monty be too large for her? Monty's MoM |
He is too big for her and she is also too small to have babies |
I agree with Chachi |
Please, Please don't put little Tia at risk. This is not a good idea, he is too big for her and she is too small to breed. |
Please, as the others have said, do not breed this little girl. She needs to be spayed. She is too small also too young. Plus, that male is wayyyyyyyyyy too big for her. She could die. |
What to do? Monty's mom nanagirl62 says she want to thank everyone for their respond. Having them to mate was just a thought, we thought she was to little also. My daughter has a male also but TOBY weights 11lbs. and we knew noooo wayyyyyyyyy l.o.l. We are planning to have all (3) spayed and neutured. We had planned on talking with our Vet. just thought I would see how others felt. We would not want anything to happen to our babies. Thanks again |
I thnk you are making a very wise and VERY responsible decision by having them spayed/neutered.:) |
Yorkies are not all the same My daughter and I have experienced all size Yorkies , they are the best, my Monty , who's the world traveler(smile) My daughter bought him for me 2years ago we live in Ohio, she is in Atlanta (6lbs) he loves to travel no problem for him, he just jumps in his traveling bag and says let go. My daughter's has Toby (11lbs) and Tia (3.5) they are all the same loveable, spoil, Monty, Toby, Tia, |
I'm in total agreement with everyone - she is too small - he too large - GOOD LUCK and if you do get him neutered - you're making the SMART Decision here - your daughter wouldn't want to put her female at risk and she would be if they mated - All the best to you - there is much more to breeding small dogs than people realize ....and you did really good to come here and ask BEFORE you went ahead and did this. |
