Breeding Hi all, I was just wondering how old does the sire and the dam have to be in order to breed. |
male in 9 months and female in 1 years the earliest. |
hmmm you might want to post this question in the Breeders Threads. Not sure about the male, but I heard it was best to wait for the female to turn two, and have at least 3 heats. But I'm not a Breeder, so I'm not really sure.:) |
AKC rules are 8 months (at mating) for females and 7 months (at mating) for males. It is advised not to breed females before second heat (typically 14-18 months) and a males (typically 1 year to 18 months) hope this helps |
