parti color yorkie's???
 
Anyone see a parti color yorkie breeder? If so was the parti color yorkie a real yorkie?

Why not search the achives..we have several who breed parti's and German Biewers on YT..I have seen Whispermom's gang and they are gorgeous!!! Irene and others have Biewers..and they are REAL!! LOL

Yes, partis are "real" yorkies. I know there are some breeders that breed strictly to get partis, but it is early and I can't point you to any right now because my brain has not reached full function yet. :rolleyes:
From my understanding, partis and Biewers are NOT the same...just FYI. :)

As a breeder I would say not.
Yorkshire Terriers have standards, that includes their distinctive "MARKINGS".
You may ask a Breeder of Biewers.

IMO, just because they do not meet the "standard" as far as color, that does not mean they are not Yorkies. What if you have a Yorkie that weighs 9 lbs? Does that mean it is not a Yorkie because it does not meet the "standard?" No, it just means you have a bigger Yorkie...same is true for Partis...they are still Yorkies, they just carry a variance of the gene that determines coat color. Is it standard? No, of course not, but some favor this look and breed for it.
As far as the Biewers are concerned...I have learned not to accuse them of being Yorkies or Partis or anything other than a Biewer for fear of getting my head bitten off over something I really could care less about one way or the other... :rolleyes: :(

I commented about standards, because here in Calif. where I live. I have run into people who are selling Yorkie puppies that do not have the colors, markings and looks. They have no papers, to prove pedigree and they don't even have the parents.
I am sure there are yorkies that differ in colors, but there are Silkies and Biewers that look similar yet are another Terrier.
As of AKC standard, no such name of "Parti Yorkies".

Yeah, I understand that there are people who couldn't tell you squat about where the pups they have came from. :mad: Let's not go into to how most of us feel about that. But there are some who do have these off-color dogs that ARE from genuine Yorkie bloodlines. I realize that this is not an AKC recognized color...but that doesn't make them any less Yorkie. :) Take member Julz for example...she had two red pups born of 2 standard parents. So does that mean they are not Yorkies all because the AKC doesn't recognize this as a standard color?

I never said they are not Yorkies, just be careflul.
There are Sellers, not Breeders out there. They are selling supposedly Yorkies, that are not. Yes I know some pups do not get the quality coats & colors and yes they are yorkies. But most breeders will note, coat not standard marks, they don't say they are Parti yorkies. I surely don't, I say the coats colors are off.
But I do see Sellers trying to sell Yorkies and making up names, to appeal to the public.
Parti Color Yorkies is a new Title I have heard, not listed in AKC standards.
