A yorkie w/ brains and beauty. A yorkie that reminds me that it is still a terrier in temperment and is bulit like a little gymnast w/ a good coat and substantial bone that fits within the AKC standard. And BAM! I found it on the first hit w/ Wild Blue Cherry Yorkies and Devils of York Kennels!

ps my first yorkie: Little Nemo the Black Gigas and my second yorkie: Little Isaac Flying Serenity BOTH came from the US. I have yet to find anything that compares to those two in quality. That unique fine balance. Sure, everyone has a nice yorkie and there are loads here, but I was wanting something more. Just my opinion. | Well, i assume I can give my opinion. With registered names Little Nemo the Black Gigas and Little Isaac Flying Serenity, these were NOT purchased from reputable show breeders. In US and Canada our way of thinking as reputable show breeders is that we won't sell a puppy on open papers for breeding. If we do sell something intended for breeding it will be sold to a show home, at more than 6 months of age when we are reasonably certain that this is a show dog. As a show breeder, if someone approaches me for a pet they get a good quality pet, a Yorkie that I have decided that I do not want to keep in my breeding program or anyone else's for various reasons. If I am not willing to keep it for show/breeding I am not going to let anyone else do that.
I am also talking about breeders who actively show their dogs in Canadian Kennel Club or American Kennel Club dog shows. `
If someone is buying wanting to get into showing/breeding then you can get one eventually from someone in your area on co-ownership with the breeder mentoring you. Co-0wnership protects the breeder that sold you the dog so you don't just go off and breed it with whatever.
European breeders, according to a friend of mine, do not think this way. They will ship puppies to whoever wants them and do not have closed papers or nonbreeding contracts. In fact, many European breeders are trying very hard to get good quality US/Canada show breeders dogs to improve their lines. |
