how do you breed
 
a short legged dudley moore yorkie to a beautiful yorkie with longer cute legs ? my daughter an a friends yorkie tried an he just couldnt hit the target due to his short legs is there a trick to this or something i thaught about calling doctor ruth

Fold a towel, lay it behind the bitch and put the stud on top of the towel. He just needs help mounting, that's all.

You can also lay a thick phone book behind her and stand him on it. you might have to "help" a little.

We had the same issues breeding. Kenzy's spirit was VERY willing but his legs were not tall enough. We tried all of the helping tricks but everytime we approached him while he was "doing his thing" he would just back off or stop completely.

Ultimately, we had to take them to the Vet's office - we found a breeding specialist in the Dallas area - who was able to make it happen for us and Paddy got pregnant the very first try. Not sure if that would be an option for you - but it really was not expensive at all. Good luck!

I think this is what we have decided to try. Harley KNOWS what to do, but dang those supermodel legs!

his might sound strange to some of you but my males trust me so well that they will stand on my hands for a boost.
I tried the towels and phone book and everything else and they said NO WAY. So the hands folded have worked for me when need be.:happyboun

I tried that but he said NO WAY!!! Guess he didn't like the balancing act!!! :p
