Sadly, many don't do their research which is why there are so many sick and ill bred yorkies available. The breed has been destroyed because of people failing to read and learn. They just want what looks cute. I will continue to do my level best to help educate people about bad breeding until I can no longer physically do so.

Don't bring Susan into this. I have nothing but respect for her. She has been to my house and taught me how to wrap one of her show dogs. She knows what type of person I am and how I love my dogs. I keep in touch with her. Contact her and ask her about the situation. I do know that if you don't want someone to breed the dog you either have him neutered or don't give the open papers. At any rate, I am done now. For real. I've set the record straight on who I am and it doesn't matter. You can't admit you're wrong. Cruz is retired now and living his best life. I'll warn Susan you may be contacting her. Thanks for a fun day.

I already reached out to Susan. I didn't need your permission. As for the warning, she knows who I am.....I don't think she will be concerned. LOL

Yes you have showed you are a non reputable breeder and byb thank goodness you were so open and honest about it and hopefully others when they search your breeding will get linked here so they to can learn your reputation. Oh trust me an investigation has been opened and keep in mind these real reputable breeders even if retired still talk to other non retired reputable breeders......

IMHO anyone who pays this woman the thousands she is asking for for her puppies needs to have their IQ checked. I can find puppies from websites like hers for under $500 all over the country. Maybe I am missing something, but I don't think so. A reputable breeder does charge that much.....but the word reputable is important here!!!! You get what you pay for in this life.

I looked at her website and see nothing about genetic testing on her breeding pairs. It seems her ONLY claim to fame is an 11 almost 12 year old pup who yes, was a champion (years ago from another breeder)..........but who was he bred with!?!?!!?

Then, top it off with the lies she told all of us (or changing her story, whatever you want to call it).....not a chance would I buy a puppy from her.

Oh....and she covers genetic defects if they are "fatal" so it says on her website. I am not sure what that means....do you wait for the dog to die and then try to get your money back??? SMH

One for the record books......

:thumbup::thumbup: yeah she leans very very heavy on Cruz and nothing else. Nothing she has said or her site say reputable to me. There were other red flags on he site to. It is just such a shame.

She is riding on the shirt tails of Deb, throwing Cuz out there, a champion, Yes, but bred from high quality Sire and Dam whose genetic background was checked to ensure no genetic disease would be passed down to future puppies like Cuz. But who is Cuz now being paired with???? A hobby breeder would never invest the money to check the genetic back ground of the females she is breeding with Cuz.
I am formally from NYC, the Tri-State area, and $3000 for a yorkie from a "hobby breeder" is way off base. That is what a reputable breeder would start off at.

I purshased Cruz from Deb Sillers some years ago. When I retired from breeding a couple of years ago, I gave him to my friend at Giovanna's Yorkies. We've known each other a long time, I know her to be a reputable breeder, and one of few people I would have entrusted Cruz to. He's a nice, little dog that I thought could enhance her breeding program, and we have an agreement he could come back here to retire at the end of his breeding life if need be. What are you people so excited about?
You'll be lucky to get a puppy from this litter.

yeah something isn't adding up to me and she clearly lied in these posts and could not keep her stories straight so not sure why anyone would want to get a puppy from her or work with her but that's my opinion.

I don't think Cruz was used as a pawn....but, I also don't believe anyone had his best interests in mind. Just people continuing to use him for $$$ . I am not a fan of breeding anyway but breeding a senior dog is beyond my comprehension.

The person who has Cruz is a successful professional woman who is not in need of money from dog breeding. It's a hobby. I was seriously ill and closing my kennel. Cruz was still of breeding age, so I gifted him to her knowing he'd be set for life. There's no harm in breeding a senior dog. The dog is happy to perform that particular duty at any age. The trouble with it their sperm count tends to diminish with age, which decreases the chance of a successful breeding. The AKC may not register puppies sired by a dog older than 12 years without dna proof of sire. Why are you so full of hate?

The woman contradicted herself numerous times. Wrote she had 4 males puppies available NOW, then denied she wrote that. Denied she came on YT to sell her puppies when there are four threads with her saying she had 4 males puppies available NOW.
You are her friend I would not expect you to do anything but defend her.

There is not a bone in my body that actually believes that you think this person is a reputable breeder. There are many people who can see through this. You already tried to destroy Debs name once so what is the ultimate way to go out with a bang. For you to give one of Debs beautifully bred boys to a breeder you know isn’t reputable and have her brag about Cruz and breeding one of Debs dogs.

I agree.....a thread of your own. I would advise you to be VERY careful about breeders looking to sell on this forum. Sadly, there are many breeders who are not reputable who lurk on these forums and message people who post that they are lookin for a yorkie. They all know the words to say....and are great at conning people. Know your stuff.....and PLEASE be sure to research the breeder FIRST.

The best place to start looking for a yorkie in my opinion is on YTCA.org Usually, the breeders that are listed there are reputable.....but, of course, you can find bad anything anywhere. It is just a good place to start because the breeders there USUALLY are looking to breed healthy pups. I would not buy from a breeder who does not do genetic testing....and I don't mean Embrace. This is a great resource where you can search genetics by breed... Here you can find what breeders should be testing for in their specific breed.
