Is she or isn't she? **noob alert! 1 Attachment(s) Ok so hey y'all *waves* 😊 I'm totally new to forums so I might get loads of stuff wrong, please be patient with me 😘 My little girl Talulah just had her third season. I had two ties with a site at days 9 and 11. The Sire was very experienced and I was super confident we may have puppies this summer. So day 26 I had her scanned and held little hope. Her nipples haven't swollen at all, no pinking or any of the signs I have been told to look for. She's been really overly affectionate, finishing all her food and even begging for more which isn't like her. She's a teeny tiny girl and she picks at food rather than gobbling it down. Anyway. I digress. The sonographer said no puppies but that she would come back at day 35 to double check in case she has a singleton. I can see she's gained weight, but is it just wishful thinking? I've uploaded a picture of her little tummy. Any guidance or thoughts from those with experience would be great. I feel like I'm going out of my mind staring at her tummy always now and not just enjoying my lovely fur baby ❤ |
You really should have a mentor to ask these questions to. I sure hope when you say tiny you don't mean under 5 pounds or it could be dangerous for her. |
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I would have preferred some advice but I guess I can't have everything huh 😂👌🏻 |

Your best bet is to wait until she's at least 55 days in then take her for an x-ray. They show the whole uterus plus depending on the vet even the rib cage so you'll know for sure plus it shows size of puppies and mom's pelvic size. One time I had bred my female she was around 26 days in and I thought she had developed a UTI I took her to the vet for blood work up against my will they decided to ultra sound and told me she wasn't pregnant long story short I knew they were completely wrong and she ended up having 5 very healthy babies. |
I can't offer advice Hello and welcome to YT |
So was she pregnant? She still looks swollen so it looks promising to me, but don't see any gestational sacs in ultrasound, but I wait at least 30 days post last breeding so it may be early. |
