I need some docking tail advice I had 2 Yorkies born while away for a family emergency. I have done them many times at home but between the 3-5 day mark. My husband was of course home but didn't feel comfortable docking the tails. They are now 17 days old. Can I still dock their tails via clamp and twist? or does this have to be done at the vet? Also, how about banding? Can this be done or am I past the point. Would love to here some advice. |

My Pfeiffer has a full tail and it's the best thing ever. I hope someday docking is illegal here in the US, like it is in most of the rest of the world. Let your kiddo's tails be :). |

My Yorkie is undocked and he is beautiful xxxxxxxxxxxx |
I see more and more undocked tails these days, so it seems it is catching on! Even well thought of breeders/show handlers are not docking as much. |
What is the logic behind docking? Are there any health benefits or is it purely aesthetic? It sure does seem cruel. |

I wouldn't even think of doing that to my dogs, I think it's illegal here too, I've actually never seen a Yorkie with a docked tail. |
No docking! Let the tails grow freely as they are beautiful. |
Oh, those flowing tails are so beautiful. No docking in here in Italy and our yorkies are majestic. |
