How many pups? Xray included 1 Attachment(s) Hi, my yorkie is due on January 2nd (63 days) but we are basically ready any day now (55 today). We went to her vet, did xrays and it seems her litter will be big. She is a big yorkie and according to the vet she will have no problems. Can you look at the xray and tell me how many puppies you see? The vet counted six but I see seven. Thank you |

They are gorgeous! How big is mommy???? Will you have to supplement feed any. I'm sure she is hungry all the time nursing so many babies. Congratulations! |
Ohh ma gawd... I can't stand how stinkin' cute they are! Please take lots of pics as they grow and post here so we can see your journey with them.... Pleeeeease! I got all my girls individualy as adults and have never had a tiny baby. When the hubby retires, we plan on getting a 12week old and experiencing puppyhood :) (in about 20 or 30 years!) |
Adorable! I wish I could have them all! lol |
Precious tiny babies, just beautiful. Mamma is also a little beauty. |
It will be the hardest thing in my life giving them to their new families and even it wasn't a plan, we are thinking about keeping one little girl... |
1 Attachment(s) Puppies are growing, almost three weeks now and this girl is a keeper. We named her Misha and we love her to death! My husband is about to kill me because I would love to keep one more puppy but well, lets be thankful at least for Misha :) |
And a little update about how we are doing. Mom is tired. Seven puppies are taking a toll on her but so far she takes great care of them, all are exclusively nursed, growing like weed, mobile more and more every day, the loooooooveee being held and snuggled. Mom eats a lot but is way too skinny, all bones visible through her skin :( . She has free access to food 24/7, I even encourage her to eat more with mixing cottage cheese, cooking meat with some veggies, putting olive oil in her food and supplement calcium. Thank God she is a big yorkie and also we are almost at the 3 week mark so in a few days we are gonna start offering food to them. But so far things are only awesome, no bigger problem and I just want to keep them all. They show their little personalities, some are "fighters", some are snug butts, all are super cute and I seriously feel like grandma with her grand kids :) . |
Wonderful all babies are doing well and mama is such a caring mommy, it's so hard to have to part with them. I wouldn't be able to do it lol. Baby Misha is just beautiful..... Good luck |
Can mom get away and come back to feed? My Yorkie Lexi also had 7 pups three times before I had her fixed. And like yours 5 females and 2 males the first time. I made a large area and put a board by the gate as the babies got older so she could leave and come back as she needed to. She raised every pup all by herself. It does help when they start eating. And as far as finding homes. All the pups but one I kept found amazing homes and I keep in contact with almost all of them. But I did have tears as they left one by one to new amazing homes. They are so much fun and personalities galore. The last batch left 5 years ago and I so enjoy getting pictures and hearing how they are doing. You will make many new friends. Good luck and they are adorable |
