neopar Working with a rescue the shelter frequently call me for a pregnant mom who's too far for a spay. I also will take young puppies if they're eating. I work so if I have bottle babies I have to get a sitter so I try to only do that if one of my moms need help. I have been getting conflicting answers about when or if to give neopar. If my babies are around 5 weeks or born here I give neopar. But what about the others? Would you give it to an 8 week old and wait on the 5way, give both the neopar and the 5 way or just the 5 way. I have 3 different opinions from 3 different vets? Don't you think they all deserve and need a little extra help? |

Thanks, I'll e mail him. I haven't lost a puppy to parvo since I started using neopar but did have 2 puppies who developed parvo after adoption. Of course we isolate but I have a healthy fear, bordering on paranoia of parvo. I've has 2 personal puppies, fully immunized, develop parvo. I lost one , saved one. I now give all my personal puppies neopar. I have biewers that I've been showing and they're doing well. If they continue to do well and after completing their health screenings I will breed next spring but NO FOSTERS. It's not worth the risk. |
