Is my Yorkie finally pregnant? My yorkie is almost 4 now and was bred about 4 weeks ago. As we left the dogs alone, we can't be sure if they actually mated. However, in the last week or so, she has begun urinating in the house, has started becoming aggressive towards the cats and her belly seems harder than it was. I plan on taking her to the vet in another 2 weeks for an ultrasound. Does any of these symptoms sound familiar? |
you may want to ask all of this in the breeders forum. I don't know about the symptoms. However, by 4 weeks along or around 28 days you should be able to lay your dog on her side and gently feel around on her tummy with one hand on her tummy and one on her back and if there are pupps in there you should be able to feel small "golf balls". Please be very careful not to squeze anything too hard. Hope this helps |

I have moved this thread to the breeder section in hopes for more responses by our members who are breeders. Hope this helps. ;) |
Depending on your female those hormones can cause all sorts of behavior changes. You have to play each one by ear. I keep a notebook on what each one has done in the past. It sounds like she could be. Do you notice any rounding in her tummy or her nipples becoming larger- protruding more? She is at the point where she may become grouchy and want more to eat and just become a DR. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde. I seem to have gone thru that myself three times in the past many moons ago. |
