Has anyone heard of HUTTO Yorkies? I lost my baby not too long ago and would like a new baby sometime in the next several months if I can find a good breeder. There don't seem to be many near the DFW area. I came across Hutto Yorkies but wanted some reviews or info on them? Please help if you can. M-:aimeeyork |
Hutto Hi. So sorry to hear you lost your baby recently, they do leave a huge hole in your heart when they sadly leave us. I did look at the web site and she does seem to have rather a mix of Yorkie types/ colors. That would bother me that she has all the mixes when most good breeders just have the standard colored Yorkies. Have you checked out the YTCA site to look for approved Yorkie breeders? Also have you considered a rescue pup? There are breeders from TX in YT and hopefully they and others here will help you find your baby. Good luck:) |
Thanks for your reply! I did notice that about the colors. She has some chocolate party ready soon but in nervous about it. I want to make sure if I get from a breeder that it's a good ethical breeder. I wish I was closer to them so I could visit. My Lola's breeder passed away so I can't return to her or I would. I'm having a hard time finding a close breeder for Yorkies in the DFW area that doesn't look shady (saying teacup and such). When I got my girl I was able to visit and meet them all and she sort of picked me. I am considering adopting but I do want a female yorkie puppy and those are hard to find for adoption. I don't care about AKC or the lineage other than for health. It's just so hard because I want to do what's best. Is live to get a yorkie pup and then adopt a sibling for her. I'm looking also at Wild West Yorkies. She has a litter coming up so I may feel her out. I'm going to keep looking at all options. Have you heard of Wild West? I love the different colors but I want the best health and treatment of the parents. |
Again, thank you for your reply. I am so glad I found this forum |
Welcome to YT! I actually looked into Hutto when I was searching for a parti yorkie. I love the pic of Gracie on their website! There's not much information on their site, but they may be more apt to answer any of your questions if you email/ call them. Are you looking to acquire a parti or traditional puppy? There are a few breeders here on YT that are located near you...Yorkiemom1 of Rosehill Yorkies is one I recommend(search her post history and I'm sure you'll find her friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable). Whoever you decide to go with, please ask if they do any health testing. I'm off to look at Wild West now... |
Hutto It is good that you are taking this so seriously and taking your time to decide on a pup. I suppose I am cautious of breeders that have so many dogs. A good breeder has a long line of known parents and breeds for optimal health, temperament and breed perfection. I doubt if this breeder can do this with so many mixed colors etc. She seems to breed for looks and variety? I noticed some of the dams are below five pounds, and that is not good. I agree that you should look carefully into health guarantees and check out the parents and lineage. I know you want a pet not a show dog, but these Yorkies are prone to certain health issues that can crop up more frequently in dogs of uncertain heritage. Certainly I would see if Yorkiemom 1 here has any pups or could suggest a great breeder in the area. Whatever you do, please do not get a pup from the internet without seeing the breeder's home and checking out health issues very carefully. This search is hard, but patience and research will pay off:) |
Ok, I've just looked at Wild West and I don't know why, but something concerning their guarantee rubs me the wrong way. Their puppies are very pretty, but not much info on their site to go by. Hopefully someone will comment or private message you who's actually purchased from them and can clear some things up. |
I hope so. Thanks! Can find any listings on here for north Texas breeders? Much thanks again!!! |
I'll ask Yorkiemom 1. Thanks awesome people! |
This is her website, just to get a general idea of what her past puppies look like. It should also have contact info. Have fun in your search! Index - RoseHill Yorkies |
Be careful where you buy. Ask for references. Try to pick up your puppy in person. |
I have bought a male chocolate parti that carries blonde from this Hutto Breeder. The dogs are great they are also DNA confirmed. The lady was extremely nice and so was her husband. The dogs seem very healthy and active. We bought Duncan from her and he is a great addition to our own Yorkie pack. He is AKC registered and a very handsome 5lbs grown up now. I found nothing wrong with this breeder or dogs. |
All I have to say is reputable breeds don't breed for golden or chocolate. |
Lovetodream88 - my Tasey is a golden. I don't know who his breeder is because my husband already had him when we married. Do goldens sometimes accidentally occur? I know his breeder bred tradional colored ones, and my husband had to wait a long time for Tasey. I don't believe she bred specifically for golden. I hope the golden ones aren't linked to more health issues. |
